I already quit Naruvember smh-
(mood)

- - -

The Nara glanced down at their sheets of paper that had a list of places that Shiru had frequented.

"Dude," Shikaku Nara murmered, glancing over at Shiru's father, "You let your daughter go to bars?"

Shiru's father, aka Shama, spluttered loudly and gave a squeal of the word what.

What indeed Shiru's father. What indeed. Who knew your daughter was always getting herself drunk to forget the pain Uchiha Itachi caused her, while it had only been two days when she had been home during Itachi's defect, she'd drunk more than an average man drank in a month.

"Dude," A random Yamanaka murmured, "Your daughter was an alcoholic-"

"nO SHE WAS NOT-"

(Wtf did I just write?) (gold)

One of the Akimichi, the head, Choza, cleared his throat to shut them up. It did, and he talked, "Well, she usually comes over to the family restaurant on her birthday, but she hadn't come last week, and it was quite worrying not having a yearly customer come in." This brought some murmurs to erupt in the room.

"About that, yes. She also always goes to the Yamanaka flower shop in the evening to get some of the Ghost Orchids since they grow between June and August. I think i heard her mention going to the cemetery, but I always wondered why. She also always wondered why, but never questioned it. At least that's what I heard her say," that one Yamanaka that said that was stroking his beard and had a thoughtful look in his face, as did most of the others. Except the Nara, they seemed to just be looking around, when in reality, as the others knew, they were one of the deepest, analytical thinkers in this faithful room today.

"Did you ask the Hokage?" one of the Akimichi wondered. Shama nodded nervously and fiddled with his fingers, but kept an exterior cool head. Yet a bead of sweat ran down his face with all the commotion and intriguing stares he and his wife, Ilmaru, were receiving at the moment.

"And what did the Hokage say?" Shikaku inquired, a calculating look on his face.

Shama blinked before frowning, "He said he would put together search parties but, well, not to put offense to the Hokage as I know he's terribly busy, I've yet to see any of those search parties. We've had to go personally to the Jonin lounge to ask for help."

Several other people stroked their chins or beards in thought, while others twirled their mustaches or hair. It was fairly comical. "We can inform Shibi," Shikaku suggested. "Maybe his insects may have heard something."

"He would have told us by now, wouldn't you think?" Ilmaru asked absentmindedly. "It wouldn't hurt to ask," Shikaku reasoned. "I suppose so..." she responded admittedly.

So, the former InoShikaCho trio- aka Inoichi, Shikaku, and Choza- were on their way to the Aburame compound, where they'd find their most valuable clue.

Knock knock. Shibi went at a relaxed pace to answer the door of the three visitors he had not expected to see. Each one of them gave a nod of acknowledgement and entered, still leaving Shibi confused as to why of this surprise visit.

They were sat in the living room in a half awkward silence that had an equally serious air about it Shibi knew he had to adjust to to make things less awkward.  Shikaku cleared his throat with a fist to his mouth and all three visitors looked at the Aburame clan leader. The Nara clan head began, "As I'm sure you or your insects might have heard, one of our clan's... gifted children has disappeared," he looked around to Shibi who remained impassive, telling them he'd heard of the incident or had been told of it.

"We were wondering if you might have heard of or known anything that would help in this investigation," Inoichi ended. Choza was looking around a bit nervously since it wasn't the first time he was cut off of these types of conversations, choosing to keep guard instead, but it was so intense and it was midnight and he didn't feel like he could focus as much as he could without a snack or any adrenaline to push him. He had thought he'd seen some dark figure passing by in the room, but not even a second after he'd blinked it was gone, so he had brushed it off as his wavering touch of alertness.

His head was turned back to place when Shibi started giving his fair share of the matter that may or may not have helped them in this, "Yes, I do know particular things."

That was enough to catch their interests. "We have this adopted member of the clan- called Torune- that was attached with my son, Shino, who was well attached to him too," he paused, took a breath of air, and continued on, "a few days ago, when everyone had been sleeping, they'd gone missing," he didn't leave end for them to ask any questions and left them wondering if their questions would be answered next.

"I would not have know had our bugs not told us the next morning. We could have never woken up at night because a sleeping gas had been released at night, it had not affected most of our Kikaichū," a slither of pride seeped through his quiet words and he went on, "the next morning, Torune was gone, with a clueless Shino asleep. When I asked what had happened, he said he didn't remember anything."
The visiting trio was confused but it was one larger step to finding out the culprit of it all.
Choza's question hadn't been answered, but he hadn't expected it to be, so he asked, "Who do you suspect, then?" His two friends were struck by the realization that the question could easily be answered by the Aburame head, and said man took a quiet intake of air.

"I only suspect one person," there was a lengthy pause. Small, unheard footsteps of an 8 year old Shino were at the door frame connecting the living room the four were in and the hallway leading to the other rooms. He was also inpatient. He'd woken up thirsty in the middle of the night and what heard them talking on his way back.
Waiting, little Shino looked up at a spider like dark figure in the corner of the room behind Choza. He squinted his eyes as he saw the figure move it's head towards him and beady white circles encountered his thin, black eyes. He was tempted to scream, and he almost had. Yet the figure beat him to it as it closed the little guy's mouth who was fuming and scared- at least that's what he'd thought, but he felt a small familiarity come from the figure holding his mouth shut, so he didn't struggle. No. He let himself be hugged by the person as they started silently crying. Shino didn't understand why, but he let it be.

Meanwhile, Torune didn't have the heart to erase the poor boy's memory as instructed if anyone saw him. He just couldn't.

As the Ino-Shika-Cho trio was leaving, Shikaku didn't have the heart to call them out. And so did the other two. Shibi was no exception, as they all let it go in the spite of the moment. The Nara head would have another plan to devise that wouldn't involve those two.

And the culprit's name rang in their heads as they all raged on the inside.

That damned Danzo Shimura.
