This must be a joke, right? They know I'm vulnerable which is why they're tricking me. It's past Halloween though and it's not even close to April fools so why trick me? Why me?
"Hey..." Blake spoke softly,
"H-hi..." I replied
"I'm sorry about the incident at the cafe. I didn't intend on-"
"Stop!" I interrupt, "I understand that you are trying to say sorry but it's gonna take even more than just a simple apology for me to forgive you."
"I'm not saying for you to forgive me. Look, I'm saying sorry for what I did back at the cafe. I understand that I did something wrong and I regret doing that. I want you to know that I truly feel sorry."
"No," I reply
"No?" He asked surprised,
"Yeah, I don't...I mean you don't..." What I'm trying to say is that you don't understand. I have tried my best to fix everything from the past and now you're talking about the truth? I don't want to know the truth. I just want to be free from my past. I want to succeed and forget everything from before. All I want is to forget you...
"Don't what?" he asks,
"Nothing just... let's go," I said sadly.
30 Minutes Later
"Alright," Said the captain, "We are about to head on towards Mount Mabel. I hope everyone brought their hiking gear. Any questions?"
"I have a question!" Exclaimed one of the hikers, "If there are any alien landings around this area of appearance, do you think I can take a selfie with them and join their army?"
"What's your name child?" asked the captain,
"Oh, it's Qwerty!" he answered, "Why do you ask?"
"Because now I've met the world's dumbest person, I know my kids think of me as idiot, and a terrible role model to them."
"Ooo, is it me?" questioned Qwerty,
"Yes, yes it is you,"
"Yay I'm known as a role model, an idiot one to be exact!"
The captain rolled his eyes and asked, "Any other questions?" No one answered so he continues, "Then let's all head to Mount Mabel!" The crowd starts cheering as we all start hiking with our partners. I didn't want to hike with Blake but I had no choice.
As we hike up the mountain, we see many views of wonder and many animals scurrying around. Many critters were on their way to climb us. As we walked we saw 2 signs on the wall. One said DO NOT PASS THIS ROAD which leads to a road that is not worth taking.
"This road is dangerous. Legend has it that whoever crosses never comes back." said the captain.
I stop to see the other sign,
"Wanted kidnapper and is missing. Issac Winters, age 28 is a wanted kidnapper who disappeared on November 9th, 2015.
"Issac Winters?" I said confused. That name sounded so familiar.
He had kidnapped two students who visited this mountain with their class. Missing students are Cassandra Wright and Jason Roberts.'
"Roberts?" I ask,
"Yeah, my brother went missing when he went on a school trip." Said Blake, "Turns out, he still hasn't been found."
"I-I'm sorry," I spoke with sympathy,
"It's okay, we'll find him, which is one of the reasons I'm here." Blake continues did faith, "Let's go?"
"Okay..." I said still upset,
A Few Hours Later
Our captain continued taking us up the mountain and has we had our lunch watching the beautiful view, I felt I had just the right amount of freedom to forget everything for the rest of the hike until...
"It's starting to get dark. Let's head back down now, shall we? " said the captain,
"Shall we? Blake asked in an odd way,
"O...okay," I replied with a hint of heavy disappointment in my voice,
We hike towards the bottom but then came two guards.
"Stop!" said one guard, "Halt!" said the other,
"What's wrong sir?"
"There has been an issue and we need two of your teammates." said the first guard,
"The names are Abigail Addams and of course, Blake Roberts. Now If you may, we'd like to take them off your hands." said the other guard,
"I-I don't think that this is a good idea," replied the captain,
"Hold that thought, let's discuss this shall we?" The guards taking the captain to private space,
"Abby?" called Blake,
"Yes?" I asked,
"Those were the suspects that were working with Issac Winters." Blake whispers
"That means," I said shockingly,
"They are after us!" Blake yells, "Run Abby Run!" Blake grabs my arm and starts racing down the mountain.
"HEY GET BACK HERE!" The guards yell as they begin chasing us,
"Abby, hold on to me tight and don't let go!" shouted Blake,
"I won't!" I yelled.
