Pulling her suitcase along the platform as she peered our in front of her for her name on a card, she was in London doing a conference for her Labour Party, after spotting the guy holding up her name on a fancy card she walked over and introduced herself, as they walked to the car the guy helped pull along her suitcase and getting it into the back of his car.
The 35 minute journey to her hotel ended and she got out, already having everything paid for her on arrival she headed up the steps of the hotel, being greeted by a guy in a suit and white pristine gloves who opened the door for her and stood to one side letting her inside "good afternoon m'am." He nodded before closing the door behind her and standing at his post, Helen got all excited, this was so posh.
Walking up to the reception she was greeting by another smile, this time from a lady wearing far too much make up, Helen checked on and was offered a glass of bubbly with her room key, leaving her bags with the bell boy she started to roam around the hotel, Champagne in her hand.
Taking a look at all the fancy art along he walls of the lobby and the unique style of the furniture she wasn't really watching where she was going, it wasn't long before she felt herself collide with a much taller person, knocking the drink out of her hand spilling some down the front of her dress in the process, but the rest on the stranger in front of her.
"Oh gosh, I..I'm so sorry." She said realising what she has done, she brushed herself down and looked around since there was now smashed glass at her feet surrounding her and the male.
"Shit." The male cursed and held his hands up and looked down at the stains on his light blue jeans, he looked up at the girl in front of him and his frown turned into a small smile "oh.. uh.. it's okay." He paused "are you alright?." He asked politely.
Helen couldn't believe this boy was being so nice right now, she has just spilled her drink down him, stained him and could have shamefully cut him with the broken glass, thankfully the last one didn't happen.
"No, I'm fine.. I'm okay don't worry about me." She said looking down at the damage she had done "it's your jeans, they're soaked.." she said still staring at his crotch area, not for anything more than to check out the stain, but of course he saw the filthy side of that.
"You like what you see?." He asked cheekily, giving her a little smirk.
Helen rolled her eyes at the strangers crude comment and shrugged "from what I can see there isn't much to look at." She grinned.
The male gave her a look "ouch." He said with a little laugh afterwards, maybe it wasn't the best thing to say to a girl you've just met.
Helen looked at him and bit her lip "sooo.." she paused for a moment.
He watched her and finished her sentence "soooo, my names Liam.. what's your name?." He asked.
Helen smiled at him "my names Helen, nice to meet you Liam Payne." She said with another grin.
"Ahh, so you know me then." He laughed "should I run now? Or aren't you a crazed fan?."
"Nah, you're alright." She said "I can't run in these heels so you're safe."
Liam couldn't help but smile at her comments, he hadn't been able to have this kind of banter with anyone for a while, he liked it.
"So what brings you to London then? Because I can tell from the accent that you aren't from around here." He said"Well I'm here on a conference." She smiled "and you're right, I'm from up north." She stated "a little place called St Helens."
"I've kinda heard of it.." he said looking dumbstruck "ahh Labour.. that's cool." He said still looking completely blank.
Helen giggled a little "ahh so you're all up to date with Labour?." She asked.
Liam thought for a moment before he nodded "oh yeah.. I love the Labour.. everything about it's so cool." He said and nothing else.
Helen half grinned "and what would you say your favourite thing about it is?." She asked.
Liam's face dropped as he tried to think about what he was going to say, he had no clue what he was talking about or what was going on.
"I uh.. oh well my favourite thing is the stuff they do with the uh.." he paused "y'know... with the tax things and when they give out those little buttons so you know what party you're a part of." He said going a little red in the face at how much of an idiot he must sound like right now.
Helen smiled "you don't have a clue do you?." She said reaching up and touching his arm to reassure him that it was okay if he didn't, she wasn't going to judge him on it, not every one knew about the importance of it and this is why she was here to get her party's message across for more votes.
Liam sighed "honestly? No I don't have a clue.." he felt stupid right now, he dropped his head for a moment before he lifted it back up and looked at her in the face.
"It's okay don't worry." She smiled
"Well I was kinda wondering if.. like I know you're here for work but if you get any free time?." He said scratching the back of his neck "I was wondering if you'd let me take you for a drink? And you can tell me exactly what it's all about?." He said "try and win me over so I'll vote for the right thing when it comes around?." He chuckled.
Helen cooed, if it wasn't for the cleaners around her feet right now this was be so much more romantic for her, but she couldn't believe it, not only did the manage to keep her cool around her idol she's now going out for drinks with him to talk about what's important to her, never would she admit to Liam that he was her favourite, not yet anyway.
Helen smiled softly "I would love too."
Liam beamed "great, wanna meet here in the lobby at 8? I'd say I'd come to your room but I don't want to sound like a creep." He chuckled
"It's okay, I'll meet you here at 8." She said "if you're lucky and it goes well maybe I'll tell you my room number then." She said sassily before she turned on her heel "see you soon Liam." She said before walking off, she still had to go and find her room, she had been to distracted by the hotel and Liam that she hadn't gotten around to it yet.
She found her room and went inside, her bags were already there waiting for her, she walked over to the bed and fell back against it sinking into the mattress and sighed, this was going to be a great week.
