Eda's PoV
We stepped back as the two advanced on each other and walked slowly in circles as if two predators poised to attack. Phantom raised the tip of her cane towards Xeno, threatening to fire if he steps closer.

"Xeno?!" Glier stared at me questioningly.

"His real name."

Xeno clenched his fists, the stripes beneath his eyes flashed a brilliant bright purple. He snarled, "Come on, Phantom. You know perfectly well it's not me you should be worried about right now."

Phantom shifted her grip on her cane, her eyes no less determined. She smiled, "Yes but you're easier to find."

Aria yelled to the duo, "Can anyone tell us what is going on?"

Xeno, his back facing us, turned his head a little bit but said nothing. Phantom, raised her head and looked in our direction, she gestured to Xeno, "This one is going to pay for what he's done to my home."

Xeno flinched, "What?"

"Oh, don't remember now do you? You attacked the Bright Hills. You destroyed the world, wiped it out of existence. And most importantly..." she lunged at Xeno, who was unable to dodge and held his collar, she hissed, "... he killed Serpentinus and Nithos in cold blood!"

Xeno's eyes widened.

I gasped at the both of them, "Excuse me, what?!"

Nightmare whinnied behind Phantom, she turned her head to look and Xeno took the chance and broke free from her grasp.

Aria rallied the group and summoned Earth spikes facing outwards around us, making the area safe from possible attacks... at least for a while.

Xeno straightened his collar and lowered himself to a battle stance, he said softly, "Phantom that wasn't me, I was never in the Bright Hills!"

Phantom transformed her cane into a black spear with a ruby tip, she growled, "Why would I believe you?"

"Have I ever lied to you?"

Phantom jabbed the spear in Xeno's position. He barrel-rolled away just in time. Her spear was lodged into the stone wall, she struggled to move the spear.

"I'm not going to fight you."

"Funny, Xeno, you never fought."

Xeno shrugged, "Can't deny that, but please Phantom, I'm begging you to stop this. I'm not the one who attacked the Bright Hills!"

Phantom grunted with effort and removed her spear from the wall. She threw it towards Xeno who swiftly caught it in his hand. He examined the spear cautiously and threw it harmlessly back at Phantom.

"If it was me, I would have killed you," Xeno said calmly.

Phantom transformed the spear back into the cane, she narrowed her eyes and said, "Then name the person who is responsible."

"Phan, you know I can't do that."

The cane turned into the shotgun I've seen back in the Hills, she cocked it, Phantom repeated, "Name the person."

Xeno looked down solemnly and said nothing.

"You're not helping if you're not answering. Why? Siding with the villain?"

Phantom opened fire. Xeno flinched and squeezed his eyes shut but remained standing as the bullets flew past his face.

"Name. The. Person."

"They would kill me."

Phantom reloaded the gun, "Next shot would be closer to you, you goddamn emo."
