Part 8 : Scarlet

It's been a while since I've written a Scarlet part, but hope you enjoy.  ANYTHING THAT AS TO DO WITH LUNAR CHRONICLES WHAT SO EVER, BELONGS TO MERISSA MEYER EXECPT THIS FANFICTION (this is probably the last time I gonna do that).

She has been in Princess Winter's room for like ever, but Levana hasn't questioned her in a while. Scarlet has been sitting in her cage like a pet since thaumaturge Sybil cutted off her pinky finger. The only person she could talk to was Winter. They have talked to each other about their life and Winter lets Scarlet borrow her portscreen so she knows what is going on in the world. She is using it right now while Winter goes have her dinner with the queen. She happens to be reading a news feed, but it was a lunar news feed.

OUR BRAVE LUNAR SOLDIERS HAVE BEEN FIGHTING EARTHLINGS FOR ABOUT A WEEK NOW, THEY HAVE BEEN WORKING HARD ON DEFENDING OUR COUNTRY AGAINST THE SIX EARTHLING NATIONS. THEY AREN'T GIVING UP ON THIS. ON OTHER NOTES, OUR LOVELLY QUEEN LEVANA HAS BEEN SEARCHING FOR LUNAR FUGATIVE LINH CINDER. YOU MAY HAVE KNOWN HER FOR THOSE UNTRUE WORDS SHE HAS SAID TO OUR QUEEN AT THE EASTERN COMMONWEALTH CORONATION BALL OF EMPEROR KAITO. YOU MAY HAVE ALSO KNOW THAT SHE IS THE REASON THAT THAUMATURGE JAEL AND THAUMATURGE SYBIL ARE DEAD FOR DEFENDING OUR QUEEN AND ATEMPTING TO CAPTURE HER AND BRING HER BACK TO LUNA. LINH CINDER HAS ALSO KIDNAPPED OUR QUEEN'S HUSBAND TO BE, EMPEROR KAITO OF THE EASTERN COMMONWEALTH. SOME OF OUR LUNA AIR FORCE IS LOOKING FOR HER BUT HER SHIP CANNOT, DO TO THE FACT THAT THERE SHIP HAS NOT TRACKING DEVICES. OUR QUEEN DOES HAVE A MEMBER OF LINH CINDER'S CREW HELD HOSTAGE IN OUR PRISON. SHE HAS NOT TOLD OUR QUEEN ANYTHING USEFUL TO HELP OUR QUEEN FIND LINH CINDER. THEY HAVE DONE EVERYTHING TO TRY AND MAKE HER SPEAK, BUT OUR SOURCE HAVE TOLD US THAT SHE HAS REMAINED LOYAL TO LINH CINDER FOR REASONS UNKNOWN. SHE HAS CHOOSE TO NOT TALK ABOUT ANYTHING THAT INVOLVES LINH CINDER'S PRESENCE, LOCATION, AND SECRETS. WE ARE SO DISAPPOINTED ABOUT HER ATEMPS TO NOT HELP OUR BELOVED QUEEN. WE WILL HOPE THAT LINH CINDER IS FOUND SOON AND THAT WE OUR QUEEN HAS JUSTICE FOR LINH CINDER'S CRIMES AND ACTION THOUGHS OUR QUEEN FAITH FOR HER OWN SACK. WE WISH THAT OUR SOLDIERS ARE GOING TO END THIS WAR WITH EARTH SOON, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE IT'S GOING TO BE HARD FOR EARTH TO SURRENDER TO LUNA.

        Scarlet felt like she was going to barf after hearing that article. She couldn't believe that Cinder and herself were both meantion along with the queen and lunar soldiers. She's glad that Cinder successfully kidnapped Emperor Kaito. She know a little bit about how much she cared about him. She was glad that Cinder was hidden and ok. She wondered why Cinder didn't tell people of earth that she was the long lost lunar Princess Selene. May she had a change of thought or something. As long as she kept Cinder's secrets away from Levana,  she was doing what her grandmère had told her to do when she died, 'to protect Princess Selene' .

              When she saw the door knob, she hid her portscreen in her pillowcase and twiddle with her thumbs, hopeing that the person at the door wasn't a guard. Luckily, it was Winter with a small bag of food in her hand. Since it was just Winter, she grapped the portscreen that was in her pillow and handed back to Winter. Winter asked, "Find anything new?"

             Scarlet replied, "Nope, the same story about lunar soldiers tracking down my friends. What did Levana say at dinner?"

         "She's still mad at your friend Cinder for kidnapping Emperor Kaito of the Eastern Commonwealth." She informed .

       "Oh, you know. Thorne did say something about how much she liked him, and she my have said a thing or two about how she knows and misses him. Besides, you would not believe how many times she has made everyone shut up when she saw him do an annoucement at a press conferance. During the one that he said that he made the argeement to do the marriage alliance with Levana. She had a big melt down about how she told him that marrying Levana was gonna lead to his death or something like that. It was so funny but I didn't laugh because it was really clear how much she cared about him." She paused to think. "I think she like knows him really well, or is in love with him or something, but I know she really cares about him."

        Winter said, "Looks like Levana has some competition."

        Scarlet laughed, "She's been having Cinder as competition for Emperor Kai since the ball. Levana marrying him was her lead, but Cinder kidnapping him means Cinder is in the lead to winning his heart."

        "Seems so. No wonder why Levana is mad at her. Well, it's one of the reasons why because when she came home from her visit to the Eastern Commonweallth, she was mad about a lunar fugative nobody who was also invited to the ball as a personal guest who had escaped the Commonwealth's highly-secured prison." Winter paused for a second to catch her breathe, "the other personal guest happened to be Cinder and she saw her kiss the emperor, pointed a gun at Levana, and ran down a flight of stairs but her foot fell of and the full moon was shining directly at her revealling her glamour."

        "When I saw that at a tavern back in Rieux that I deliver vegetables to from my farm. It's the same tavern Emilie works at and where I first met Wolf. Anyway, they were laughing at her when she fell down and half destroyed the ballroom and almost killed the queen, but I jumped on the bar counter and unplugged netscreen and defended her because I thought of how humiliating it must have been for her to go through with that. They thought that I was crazy, but I didn't care if they called me crazy. I got mad when they were saying my grandmère was crazy enough to run away without her ID chip or telling people where she was going."

        "You really miss her don't you. Your grandmother?" Winter asked.

        "I miss her as much as I miss Wolf. They're the two people I really care about, but since grandmère is dead. He is all that I have left."

                "You should know that I miss Jacin so much. Probably as much as you miss Wolf." She admitted.

        "You know, I think he's in the dungeons for being a traitor to the crown." Scarlet bet.

        Winter was puzzled. She asked "Why would you think that?"

        She responded, "When Sybil took me hostage, he boarded my friends ship dressed like me and their was some footage from the wedding of Cinder and everybody else battling Sybil."

        "Now that I think of it, Levana did say she brought another hostage with her when she came back from the wedding that was cancelled until Emperor Kaito returns from his kidnapping advdenture, but she didn't let me see the hostage because the hostage was a traitor to crown." Winter thought.

        "Maybe it's him?" Scarlet wondered.

        Winter asked, "Should I go see?"

        Scarlet responded, "Your the princess of Luna. You make the decition, mostly minor ones, but your important."

        Winter decided, "I'll go. I would take you with me but your a prisoner as well, and you're missing a foot."

        Scarlet just said, "Just go and check," and Winter left the room.
