Mathew and Samantha was surprised by the young girl that was holding a crimson blade, which has odd runic symbols attached to it "w-who are you?" Mathew asked as he felt a strange aura around the child in front of him "I am Klara, Katyusha's one and only retainer" Klara replied politely "I'm Mathew and the woman beside me is Samantha, but this isn't the time for a long chat we have to escape this kingdom" Mathew replied as he carries his axe. Klara nodded as she went into Katyusha's side.
They encountered various enemies but they vanquished each one of them, multiple ambushes and attacks which they repelled or eliminated as they reach to the castle ground. To the surprise the enemies has surrounded the castle and they saw the remaining of the ten thousand soldiers that defended the castle. Mathew pointed at the gate that was being rammed by the battering ram, there were exchanging barrages with arrows from the defenders and large chunks of rocks along with arrows barrage from the enemy. Mathew released a deep sigh as he said "We have to punch through them if we want to escape, but how?" but out of the horizon they saw Avardian troops rushing from the main gates cavalry men rushing to the scene along with their horses, foot soldiers running to the spot, they caught the Silverden forces by surprise and now they have to fight a two front war "well it's time for us to help, Klara stay here and protect Katyusha, Samantha-" but before he finishes his sentence Samantha placed her index finger to Mathew's lips and said "I'm going with you" Mathew simply nodded as a reply and rushed along with Samantha.
The Avardian troops were rushing towards the battlefield, The surprised Silverden soldiers were shocked and some began to panic as the two general tries to calm their troops "We must push through our main objective so that we can take care of the rear flank!!" one of the generals shouted. The Silverden troops became more aggressive to the defending units as the rear began to intercept the advancing units, trying to delay their demise. The Romalian king sighted in relief as he heard the news that the Avardian troops are on their way, he then shouted "our help is on their way! we must hold this ground just a little more!!" making their troop morale even higher, but a sudden burst of flame has scorched the Castle, everyone was shocked as an eerie shadow was shown behind the smoke "A Silverden Dragon!" one shouted as the soldiers panicked, It seems that the enemies has released their ace up their sleeve, a legendary dragon.
The soldiers went to hide under the stoned walls just to avoid the dragon's scorching breath, as the soldiers panicked the King took one of his weapon, It was a bow which was from his family heirloom, he aimed it precisely as the dragon was landing at the tower and shot, the arrow pierced through the dragon's thick skin as if the bow was enchanted, everyone was amazed and was cheering for joy, but that didn't stop the dragon. The dragon soared back into the sky and dived down as it bursts the Romalian soldiers into flames, the king kept calm and was waiting for another shot, the dragon approaches to the king as he prepares for another shot, but it was too late, the king was thrown into the air due to the impact he received from the dragon's tail, he crashed into the castle wall as the Silverden soldiers has successfully broke into the castle's courtyard and began to slaughter each and every soldiers defending the castle.
The king laid near the castle wall, staring at his troops being slaughtered while the dragon continues to burn the castle and everything in it, he closed his eyes accepting that it was the end but out of the blue the Avardian troops has arrived the scene, they have successfully defeated the interceptors, Mathew approached the king and knelt in front in a knightly manner as Samantha helped him stood unto his feet, Mathew then stood up and said "Sire, It is good to see you" The king leaned at the wall and said "It's been long time, old friend" Mathew replied "It is indeed, since the last war we were together as brothers in arms-" but before he could finish his sentence Samantha interrupted "There's no time for chit chat, they are approaching" she said as she readies herself.
Katyusha and Klara was on the church tower, staring at the scenery of the battle, "Klara, Protect them" Katyusha said as she refers to Mathew and Samantha which are facing the dragon along with the Romalian king. "but master, I was told to protect you" Klara replied but was interrupted by Katyusha " go I will be safe here" Katyusha insisted. Klara decided to follow Katyusha's wishes, she grabbed her blade and leaped from the church tower and vanished into thin air. Mathew, Samantha and the king were already exhausted from the waves of enemy attacks along with dodging the dragon's breath, they were nearly at their limit and as they approached the dragon, they were flung away, crashing into the castle walls "If this continues, the whole Kingdom would fall" the king said as he coughed some blood "yeah, we cant just let them have their way" Mathew replied as he stared at the Avardian troops being burned alive from the dragon's breath "well, this is the end...it was nice fighting with you guys" Samantha said as she held Mathew's hand as the three closed their eyes, accepting their fate.
As the dragon closes towards the three a sudden thud was heard, the three opened their eyes and saw the huge dragon's head, the body was laying flat on it's belly without a head and on it's back is a child holding a crimson blade that was emitting a red aura around it. "I shall fulfill my master's request" she said with a smile as the Silverden soldiers rushed towards her, the girl raised her blade and swung it, the king was shocked that the entire Silverden soldiers that were trying to attack her were sliced into two, "who..in the world is this monster?" the king asked as he saw the child vanish into the thin air.
The battle was victorious' however the Castle was severely damaged along with it's city, the surviving residents that fled went back to the countryside and the northern troops has successfully defeated the enemies and thas captured the traitor and its associates, they were surprised that the Romalia empire was ruined by the enemies. The Avardian soldiers took custody on the traitors and asked if the king would go with them to help them interrogate the prisoners, the king accepted but before he left he went to Mathew and said "Till we meet again, my old friend" as he was taken unto a wagon the Commander of the Avardian soldiers stood from a pile of ruble and shouted "The Empire shall assist unto rebuilding the damages caused by the invading forces and we will leave some of our men to protect you from danger!" with that said, he left as the remaining Residents who stayed cheered in joy to their saviors as they left the kingdom.
