Chapter 3

Elaine's P.O.V

Wow.. We ended up taking longer than I thought we would. As soon as we got home it was already 5:30. I decided to start playing a game on Nazi Zombies with the girls then get ready. We ended up playing more that just one game. I looked at the clock to see it was already 6:45.

"Oh crap were going to be late if we don't start getting ready like right now" I said and the girls immediently ran upstairs with their shopping bags clenched in their hands.

Valerie's P.O.V

 This leather jacket is by far the cutest thing I've ever bought. I put on the jacket and instantly smiled. Today I was going to be sporting a simple black dress, this burgundy leather jacket and black heels. Its simple but fashionable at the same time! I made my eyes smokey with brown eye shadow and put a nude colored lip stick. I'm normally one to wear red lipstick but I thought tonight would be a little more casual. I curled my hair so I'd have lots of ringlets. Done!

"You girls almost ready?" I asked as it was already 7:15

"Yeah I'm just waiting for Elaine." Isabella said

Isabella's P.O.V

I bought a really cute light pink ruffled shirt at Forever 21 today! I'm going to wear it with my white jeans and silver sandals. Simple but perfect for tonight. I put light brown eye shadow to make my hazel eyes stand out and applied a bit of lip gloss. Cause I lived on the beach and went in the water almost everyday, the salt water has my face pretty cleared so I didn't need concealer.

And.... done! My hair is flat with two mini braids connecting at the back of my head.

"You girls almost ready?" Val asked. It was 7:15

"Yeah I'm just waiting for Elaine" I said. We should be out of here in 5 minutes.

Elaine's P.O.V

I put on the dress and instantly loved the way it looked. I applied a bit of eye shadow and lots of mascara. I have really long eyelashes so mascara was always my favorite make up product. I put a little bit of light pink lip gloss and worked on my hair. I did a fishtail braid and wore my favorite pair of brown combat boots. There!!  I was finished.

Just as I was about to pick up the keys to my car I got a text message from Nathan.

*From Nathan*

Hey :) Change of plans. Is it okay if we go to applebees at around 8:00 instead?"

OMG YES!! Man I love Applebees!!

*From Me*

"Oh no worries and yes!! You know me so well :) haha ok we'll be there at 8!

I pressed the send button and adressed the girls

"Change of plans girls! Were going to Applebees at 8:00." I yelled hoping the girls would hear me.

"Ok! I'm happy we have some time to play C.O.D" Valerie said. We started playing. Once my alarm rang, it was 7:45.

"Lets go girls" I said. We pilled into my white 67' Beetle and we were off. We were there in about 15 minutes.

As soon as I turned the car off you could hear the croud of people laughing and having a good old time. Gosh I love applebees.

As soon as we walked in I could smell ribs, steak and all foods fit for gods!

"Hi welcome to applebees! Table for three?" The perky lady infront of me asked.

"Actually I'm here to meet some friends" Just as I said it I saw Nathan waving his hand

"Hey Elaine" He shouted and the lady turned around to see him.

"I'm guessing you're with them right?" she asked.

"Yeah"

"Okay then go right ahead" she said.

We started walking and both boys stood up. I greeted Nathan with a hug. The girls did the same while I stood there looking awkward.

"And here is my friend Josh" Nathan said while looking at me.

"Hi.." I said with a huge grin on my face.. He was so cute!! He was wearing a plain white shirt with  jeans. His hair.. his eyes!! Everything on this boy.. or should I say man.. was just perfect

"Hello love! Nice to meet you! I'm Josh. How are you doing today?" He said while shaking my hand. Oh my god.. is that a british accent? My heart literally stopped cause I couldn't find the words to say.

"I'm good and you?" I asked

"I'm doing great now" he said and I could have sworn my cheeks turned a bright pink.

We all sat down and I sat right across from Josh. Valerie sat next to me, and Isabella next to Nathan. Valerie tapped me and winked. Oh goodness what was I getting myself into?

"Well I'm starving so lets hope the waitress gets here quick." Valerie stated

"Hi guys! Can I start you off with some drinks?" The perky waitress asked all of us while taking out her pad of paper. Surprisingly we all ordered cokes.

"Ok I'll be back with those drinks" the waitress said and she left.

"Well I have to go to the bathroom. Anyone wanna come with me?" Valerie  asked.

"I do" Said Isabella.

"Why leave me out of the party?" I said and I got up too.

"Oh my god you like josh don't you?" Isabella asked me as soon as we got in the bathroom. I honestly did think he was good looking... and that British accent made me go mad!!

"Yeah he's ok.."

"Thats it? Thats all you think of him?" Isabella asked. I looked away to try to avoid the question and asked

"Didn't you need to use the bathroom Valerie?"

"Just answer the damn question Elaine. You like him right?" Valerie asked.

Isabella's P.O.V

My goodness from the moment Elaine's eyes landed on Josh's I instantly knew she liked him. Her eyes lit up brighter than a tree on Christmas day. It made it so much more obvious cause she kept avoiding my question.

"Just answer the damn question Elaine. You like him right?" Valerie asked

"Oh alright!! Yeah.. I guess I do kind of like him" she said while her cheeks turned pink again. I squealed and grabbed her hands and started jumping up and down. She clearly wasn't too happy with it. Why? I honestly don't know

"Would you calm down? I've only said like 3 words to the dude" she said.

"Isn't that enough to know you like someone?" I asked hoping for an intelligent answer.

"No not really... But a british accent is" she replied and we all started giggling. 

"Okay well if we take any longer he'll assume were dead or constipated and neither of the two is very lady like" Valerie said which made Elaine go into a laugh attack. She always laughs crazy because one of two things... Either its really funny or she's nervous..

The moment we saw the boys, Josh stared at Elaine with a HUGE grin on his face!! I CAN'T CONTAIN MY EMOTIONS RIGHT NOW!!! IM SO HAPPY!!!
