Chapter 1- She Looks So Perfect

                                                               April Evans P.O.V

You would think in an AP Science class would be full of the smart kids, the one in every lesson sit at the front to hear what the teachers says. Alternatively, those kids that always take notes in class even when it is not needed at all. Or, the ones who starts crying when the get an A- instead of an A+. When I started at Kingsley High School two years ago, they gave me the option to take all honour classes but being the naïve person I am I rejected wanting to go to regular classes –come on how bad could it be.

Now, as I sit with paper planes being thrown; girls painting their nails; or on their phones; or a ruby being thrown around others just making out in the back of the classroom I reject my decision. When you reject honour classes, you are never given the chance to take the option back. The teacher Mr Fidman does not care at all he spends the entire time in class with his legs on the table and reading a car magazine. Whoever wants to learn work is on the board with textbook pages when exams come we are all doomed.

Therefore, in my class I am the only one with the textbook open with a writing pad filled with black ink nursing my own aching hand.  Watching the last aching minutes of this English trickle by. When the bell rang, no one hesitated to walking out of class. Even Mr Fidman walked out leaving me to pack everything into my backpack before swinging the straps over my shoulders then adjusting my black, horrifying thick framed glasses.

Stalking down the hallways acting like a chameleon blending into my surroundings. Believe on my first day I saw a kid with glasses being stuffed into the trash dustbin. Another kid called one of the teachers but nothing was really done. I do not want to tell my kids in high school I was stuffed in a dustbin.

“Hey Ape.” Lindsey said with a wave as I approached her and Amelia that stood near a group of lockers. Lindsey natural curly blonde hair bounced around her gleaming green eyes stared at everything in admiration, which complemented her pale face. Amelia long black hair complemented her dark brown complexion her hazel eyes and high cheekbones was probably her best assets.

“April you took forever.” Amelia said heaving a sigh.

“Come on you guys it a nice day I wanna go outside.” Lindsey explained as she pushed us out of the building.
