rainy nights

the sidewalk was empty. when i looked in front of myself, i couldn't see anything. only darkness and raindrops hitting the windows next to me. my hands were in my pockets. they felt like cold rocks that were barely moveable. i looked back on the ground. cars passed by. i wondered if i should ask someone to drive me home, but what if they drove me somewhere else? i didn't take the chance and i kept on walking. my whole body started feeling numb because of the cold weather. suddenly i heard some footsteps behind me. they were getting closer and i started walking faster. i didn't like the feeling of walking alone on the streets at night. i felt someone bumping into my shoulder. it was kind of painful but i pretended that it didn't hurt at all. i looked up. i bumped into a boy. my cheeks felt warmer. i blushed.
"i'm sorry. " he said. i got lost in his eyes for a few seconds.
"oh, it's fine. " i replied blushing even more.
"are you okay? " he said looking at my shoulder. i nodded and looked down again. i noticed that no cars had passed for a while.
"... at this time? " i looked back up at him. i didn't hear what he said and i asked him to repeat.
"why are you here at this time? " he repeated. his eyes felt like a spiral, if you looked into them you would get caught immediately. he blew away his bangs that went into his eyes. i felt warmth in my cheeks again. i got shy.
"i'm uh, going home. " i crossed my legs awkwardly. he nodded. he laid a hand on my shoulder. at that moment i felt my heart jumping out of my chest. this random guy is actually cute.
"well, i should get home as well. " he said smiling. he looked like a cute bunny while smiling and my hearts started beating a lot. i didn't know what happened but i felt like running all the way home jumping like a small kid. i felt so energetic for some reason, but i managed to keep myself calm. luckily he couldn't see me blush in the dark. it would've been so embarrassing if it wasn't dark. i didn't answer, i just nodded at him looking at the ground. i wish i could talk to him again.
