The hallways were silent, no footsteps of guards, no pattering of rats, not even a cold trail of wind howling. Everything was silent. That is what to expect now within the walls of the still ruined Arkham Asylum. Ever since the closing of Arkham City, a derilict part of Gotham City turned into a High Facility Prison where thugs and crime-overloads ruled the streets, there was a sudden need of space to hold up everyone that was inside.

Many criminals escaped, mainly the ring-leaders and murderers. However one did not; the one person within Arkham City who sat on the gorund and waited. Her spirit broken and her mind sucuumbed to madness. Harley Quinn did not even move when armed S.W.A.T force members surrounded her.

Feeling that she was far too much a menace for any normal Prison, Mayor Quincy Sharp, a man with the wrong title, sentenced her to life inside the madhouse without a trial or attempt to save her. No one stopped him as he watched the frail young woman being pushed into a glass cell, the door closing tight and the key card to open it being snapped in two and set on fire.

Too many people had died to even think of letting Harley Quinn out of her cell. As everyone left her alone, no one noticed the sadistic smile growing on her petite face. For what felt like the first time in ages, Harley took a deep breath and laughed.

"Mr. Wayne, I don't see it nessercary for you to be here." Quincy Sharp stamped his cane to the ground, stopping the broad shouldered man in a suit in front of him. "Arkham Asylum is off limits to the public, even the billionaire ones."

Standing on the the Island's Dock, Sharp watched as many GCPD officers unloaded computer technology and weaponry off the boats. The stoat man refused to move out of their way, looking rather furious at the man in front of him.

"Mayor Sharp." Bruce Wayne said calmly, looking down upon the thinning man. "As of two days ago I bought Arkham Island from the family who owns it, they felt quite releaved to give it to me. As quote 'that infernal island is nothing more than a pile of corpses and deranged lunatics'"

"So why have you bought it?"

Many of the officers turned to Bruce, looking for an answer they had been wanted to know too. The real reason was that Bruce Wayne, A.K.A The Batman, was not so sure about the imprisonment of Harley Quinn, the only prisoner in the Asylum. He had tried for weeks to enter the facility but due to the events a year before none of the buildings structures were stable to climb. Plus walking through the front-door was asking for toruble since Mayor Sharp had placed motion tracking explosive devices on every exit. He made sure that the prisoner would not leave, ever.

"Blackgate is filled to the brink with people who should be here. Since you are no longer within the prison business I'm sure those who care for peoples wealthfare would agree with my actions." Bruce smiled, knowing victory was for certain. Although Mayor Sharp still wanted the last word.

"How dare you?!" he spat.

"Yes, how dare I. I decide to help save the lives of people being re-institutionalised rather than fill our Prisons with dead bodies." Bruce glared, stepping behind the Mayor and nodding to the officers to continue their jobs. "I'd rather not have anymore further conversations about this with you Mayor, you should know what your mistakes have done. You've even been into one."

Bruce walked away, quickly snatching the deactivation code from the Mayor's pocket as he stood frozen and unsure of what to do.

Bruce on the other hand was joining up with his long time friend and Police Comissioner James Gordon at the Asylum's main entrance. Gordon eyed the card within the billionaire's hand. "Those the codes?"
