Dearest Monster,
I have come to a staggering conclusion. After writing my letter to you, I expected no response. I awoke again today with your letter before me. My letter must be short because, I regret to inform you that the ink pot was overturned on my lap and I will soon run out of ink. I fear this means that no matter what I do, I shall never meet you again. I curse those that doomed us to be this monster. And I curse myself for thinking that we, mere Romeo and Juliet, could take on the task of saving lives. I regret that I am no longer even able to die to escape the torment of being separated from you, for we share a fate worse than death. We are now one and the same, an immortal monster those men have prepared to unleash on the world. We have failed my love. Goodbye.
Truly,
A Monster.
