Dear Bob,
It's been eons since I've seen you - and over time, I'd have to believe you've grown, right? You're not the skinny little guy you used to be. I tell you, your legs were like noodles! Dear me, I hope you're strong and in shape now - I hear the rebels will be coming soon. You must be in shape by now! Please tell me you kept working out, right?
Lots of love and concern,
Carol

Bob stared at the letter that was lying on the desk by his bed. The soft, comfy chair he was in groaned as he lazily hoisted himself out of it, and trotted over to his office. The door opened by the wind, and he dragged himself in. Piles and piles of paperwork were lying around on the floor. Bob moaned and picked up one of them with his teeth, carrying it back over to the couch. This, like most, had a drawing of Carol, his mother, with little hearts around it. He turned it around, grabbed a pencil off the table, and started writing.

Dearest Carol,
What's an eon? And yes, I've grown quite a lot. I think you'll be stunned by my change in appearance. Also, what is a noodle? Is it like chocolate? I do believe I'm in "shape". Working out? Well, yeah, I've definitely been..working out. I've recently gotten into poetry, and I think you'll be satisfied with my new hobby. Also, tomorrow I'll probably have Cindy over. Boy, if only she knew how I felt about her! I feel like she's a great friend of course, heh!
Love you more and I send my concern as well,
Bob
P.S. What is a concern?

Bob set down his pencil and looked at his letter in satisfaction. 'This should do it,' he thought. Okay, so maybe he lied a little in SOME of the letter. Or maybe just a little MORE than some. Yeah, so Bob wasn't exactly working out, recently. 'But I'm sure in "shape,"' Bob thought as he looked down at his round stomach. And Cindy..sweet, dear, beloved Cindy..if only she knew..Bob shook his head to snap himself out of this trance. He knew he had to get prepared for the rebels. Especially Shirley. Shirley was the worst of them all.. Before he knew it, Bob was slowly drifting off to sleep. "Well, perhaps a little sleep won't hurt..." ---

Author's note to readers:
Hey guys! Yeah, it's a strange story and all, but it was very fun to write! I am probably going to make a series out of this. It has some humor in it, some action, and a slight hint of romance. And, if you haven't noticed, it's about my favorite animals...UNICORNS! Cya!
