So Hi I guess. I'm Bella, Bella Green and I thought I might get a diary to write down everything interesting that might or most likely won't happen in my life through secondary school. So technically secondary hasn't started yet but it is transition day today which means that I have to go to the secondary school to get the feel of what it's going to be like once it starts. Well, I have to go now so I guess I'll write what happaned once I get back.

I just got back from school. It was a weird day. When we first got there, we were all taken out onto a field where we had to get into groups of 6. Luckily, There was only 5 people coming to HZL school from my primary so obviously we all stuck together. We still needed another person so we got a girl called Jessica. She seemed nice, unfortunately I didn't get to know her because the new teachers decided to create 6 groups with 1 person from every group in them so everyone got dragged from their friends. This is how they thought we should socialise.

My new group cosisted of Me, a guy named Oliver, who I used to go swimming with a while back so it was fine, a guy named Dan, who I haven't met before but I liked him immediately because he seemed nice, kind, smart and he was taller than me, which not many people are, a girl named Gabi , who seemed really quiet, Steve, who seemed a bit childish, and last, but not least Paris. Paris had this whole other personality. I knew from the moment I said hi and she said Mhmm that she was going to be that popular girl that just is a bitch. But I was trying to be nice so I didn't give any attitude.

Our task was to create a paper/cardboard/ any cheep material plane that could fly far from  the balcony. We were only on the first floor so it wasn't a balcony that could be dangerous. In the first hour, Steve had a cardboard box on his head, Dan was  giving quote a few smart ideas, Oliver was writing the ideas down, I was drawing sketches of what it could look like because there was also a price for the best looking one, Paris was just on her newest model iPhone 5, and Gabi was just sitting there half asleep. Oliver had this idea that we can make a tiny propeller from a lollipop stick and an elastic band. We liked the idea because it sounded smart and smart sounding things always work, right? So we made that and after a lot of struggle, got it to work. I felt so happy even though I barely did anything and it was mainly Dan  and Oliver doing the work. At this point, we had to try it out. Turns out 1 tiny lollipop stick can't carry an empty plastic water bottle so it just fell to the ground.

At this point, we couldn't start over because we only had 1 hour left until we had to have it done. We pretty much decided that since we can't make a thing that can move, we need to move it as far as we can ourselves. We stuffed the bottle with a bunch of paper and decided that can should throw it since he has the strongest arms.

When if got to the actual competition, unfortunately we only came 3rd in the mechanical category which was based on the distance travelled, and pretty much last on the category about looks so that failed. I'm actually so glad that I know a few more people now so I don't have to be alone completely on the first day of year 7.
