"June get up Leah made food." kia said shaking her friend lightly
"Dude its almost one in the morning" June replied sitting up
"So you don't want food?" kia asked with a smirk on her face
June doesn't respond, she just gets up and laughs walking towards the kitchen with kia trailing behind. This was her first time staying at her friends house so this all seemed kinda new. She sat at the edge if the table waiting with her food waiting for Leah to call down her sons to eat. Ten minutes later a boy just a year old two older than June walked and his eyes were bloodshot, a smile plastered on his face
" Wow Brett, how high are you?" kia asked laughing at her step brother. That's when they made eye contact. Of course she had seen him in school before but she never really imagined seeing him outside of school.
"Hey" he said looking right at June. Then back at his mom saying he was tired and going to bed. Later that night June found herself in the kitchen getting herself a drink, as she was trying to put it in the fridge she dropped in on her foot.
