On the first night Dean woke up in the bunker to Castiel shaking him.

"Dean." Cas moaned, "Dean please wake up."

Cas sounded in pain, Dean eyes shot open. "Cas? What's wrong?" Dean's voice was gravelly.

"I-I felt warm so I went to turn on the AC," Castiel stuttered, "So I stood up when I felt something strange and my vision was patchy."

Dean patted the empty bed beside him and sat up. Castiel sat down. Dean felt his face.

"Wow, Cas, you're burning up. You probably have a fever, it'll be gone in a day or two. It's not the end of the world."

Cas nodded and started to stand up. He wobbled a bit and fell back on the bed.

"Why don't you stay here tonight? I'll take the couch."

Castiel didn't protest and moved into a fetal position on his bed. Dean chuckled and moved his pillow to the couch in his room. (A/N He doesn't have a couch in his room but shhhh)

He fell asleep to the sound of Castiel's breathing and the creaks the bunker made at night.

That morning Dean made Cas' favorite to make him feel better, pancakes. he put chocolate in his and blueberries in Sam's. He left his own plain.

Castiel smiled when he saw the pancakes but after a little bite he stopped eating.

"I'm not hungry." He said, a bit guilty. Dean was confused. He always ate the pancakes, he couldn't see him not eating them. Even if he was sick.

"Okay."

"I'm gonna go lay down, I'm exhausted."

"You slept until noon." Sam notes.

"I know." Castiel says, squinting. "It's quite odd." He goes into his room quickly.

"Does he seem.." Sam pauses, "odd to you?"

Dean, as always, ignores the problem. "He's always odd isn't he?" Acting as if he had shrugged it off.

In reality in his head, Dean was worrying. What if this wasn't just a fever?

He was being ridiculous. Everyone gets sick every once in a awhile. Why is he worrying so much?

It was when Castiel woke up did Dean start worrying.

"Dean?! Sam?!" He yelled. He sounded panicked.

Sam looked up from his laptop, game face on, and looked straight at Dean. They both ran to Cas' room to find him half sitting up, nose bleeding.

"What's happening to me?" Castiel said. Sam ran out to get some tissues.

"C'mon, buddy." Dean started to help Cas up. His body swayed a bit and Castiel suddenly looked around the room. "You okay there?"

"J-just light headed." He said, almost whispering. "Dean, I'm scared. Why am I scared? I'm a former angel, I shouldn't be."

"Hey, hey." He said. "It's okay, I'm gonna have Sammy drive you out to the nearest hospital and get you checked out. Don't be scared, it's nothing a doctor can't fix."

As if on cue, Sam walked in with tissues which Dean held up to Cas' nose.

"Sam, will you take him to the hospital." He said, quietly so Castiel couldn't hear. "Honestly, this is odd. Not just a regular fever."

"Are you sure it's not just because it's the first time he got sick?"

"No, definitely not."

"Okay, I'm gonna go grab the keys. Bring him out will you?"

Dean nodded and when Sam left them room he turned back to Cas.

"We're gonna go out to the car now." He said. "You gonna be a man and make it?" He said it more as a question then a statement. To make sure Cas was okay.

"Yes, Dean." He replied. "Although I am not a man nor female. I am actually originally a celestial gender-less being."

Dean chuckled, at least Castiel still had his same personality.
