My name is Airionna Anne Lynch and I've been a business woman since high school. I've always been a realist meaning I didn't have time to dream about love and marriage. I believe love is a waste of time in which you pour everything and more into a relationship that is not even destined to survive. I realized this in high school when I was around 17 and I fell head over heels for a guy. I swore I wanted to marry him and run away with him and he did too until we got into our first argument and while I expected everything was gonna be fine, he was already on his way back to his mother's house. Since then I've grown to not depend on anyone else for anything I needed (other than sex), I would do everything myself and only need myself. That's how it is and since I've made that discovery my life has been amazing.
"Rise and shine, beautiful." Armon says.
Armon and I have serious history, our relationship started off strong but as I began to see how much closer we had gotten I turned our relationship to strictly sex.
"Nigga, it's 9 o'clock at night and why are you still here?" I say getting out of the bed and walking into the bathroom.
"Damn! It's like that?" He says.
"Armon it been like that since this whole thing started, I don't know why you acting all brand new." I say fixing my bun.
"Aight, well I'm out." He says and walks towards the door.
"Wait! Aren't you forgetting something?" I ask. A big goofy grin plasters across his face as he comes closer leaning in for a kiss until I hold out his phone. He smacks his teeth.
"Bye, Airi." He says taking the phone. I wave back and the door closes. My phone suddenly rings.
"Hello." I say putting the phone back on the counter as I listen on speaker.
"We need you down at the studio." Rich says.
"Nigga, do you know how late it is?!" I ask looking at the time.
"I ain't ask for all the feedback, I asked for you to be here in less than an hour." He says.
"Aight, I'll see you then." I say smacking my teeth. He hangs up and I continue to get ready for the day.
⏰ ⏰ ⏰
I finally get to the doors of the studio struggling to hold all my stuff in one arm.
"Hold on, ma!" A voice says. I turn to see a man jogging over to my aid.
"I don't need your help." I say.
"Oh so you one of those females." He says rolling his eyes.
"What is one of those females?!" I say dropping my bags to put my hand on my hip.
"The 'I don't need help, I got it!' type. Act like showing even the slightest bit of manners is hitting on you!" He says.
"First of all, my first instinct wasn't 'oh he's hitting on me' it was 'oh he's gonna treat me like I was just born yesterday and ain't been carrying my own since I was 5' but if you insist on helping me Superman, why don't you go and grab those bags?" I say pointing back to the ground.
"It'll be my pleasure!" He says holding his chin high. I laugh and shake my head as he drops the bags and walks away.
"Thanks!" I say. He nods back and walks away.
When I walk in there's balloons and streamers hanging from the ceiling and I look down and everybody is standing there with a big banner.
"Surprise!!!" They all say. The banner says YOU WENT PLATINUM in big gold letters.
"Oh wow! I don't know what to say!" I say holding my hands to my mouth.
"Bitch, don't say nothing! Grab a drink!" Nique says pushing me into the crowd. But then I catch someone's eyes.
"Yazz?!"
