So I'm running away, getting out of this place....

"Niya, wake the hell up before you miss the damn bus"!

I look toward the door expecting for my sister to barg into my room.  This time I am lucky.

"I'm not asleep, I've been up", I yell back.

"I don't want to hear that shit,  get the hell up"

"I hope you get the hell out", I whispered.

She barges into the room.

"What the hell you say"?

Oh you can hear that?  Crazy ass.

I grab my journal and bag off the desk and ease my way out the door.   But with out her shoving me into the wall.

"What the hell Ray"!

"Don't what the hell me, do what the fuck i say you wouldn't get your ass whopped".

Bitch your drunk

"And don't forget to come home early to watch your nephew"!

I walk out the room, trying to ignore the pain shooting in my arm. I hear her yell out behind me. Making her demands like she always do.  Who the fuck was she to tell me what the fuck to do.  Oh thats right she is my guardian now. I wish I could kill the judge that made that decision.

I walk down the stairs of the apartment building,  because once again the elevator is down.

Crappy ass building equals Crappy as life.

But my life wasn't always so crappy. I had a typical life, a mother, father,  a sane sister and a little sister, actually my twin. I lived in a gated community, where my family was the only blacks on the block, literally! My mom was a stay at home mom and my dad a stock broker. Sounds like the perfect home that you see on tv, right?  NOT! Theres no modern family in my life time.  I'm tired of telling this story so Ima make it quick.

My father, mother and twin was murdered by a hit man. My sister, Ray, boyfriend, Erique, made the hit.

Funny thing is I was suppose to be at the house.

And did yout know that stupid broad still talk to that nigga!

Like would you continue talking to the man who killed half of your family? I don't care if he is your baby father !

Just thinking about it is going to me have a asthma attack.

Pump. Pump. Pump. Relief.

I walk down Harrison street to catch the bus.  Just like I though, the bus not even here.

Stupid Bitch.

I sent on the bench next to Ms.Geiger. She is a nice 94 old women full with life, thats until her leg gave out on her.  She rocks a cane that I help her  badazzle.

"Goodmorning Ms.G.", I say politely.  "Goodmorning child", she reaches over to give me a hug. "Your sister woke you up early, didn't she"?

"And you know it Ms. G".

Ms.G knows my whole life story just about. I honestly believe she dislike my sister as much as I do .But Ms.G won't move a sister in but she will pray for me.  I look towards her for that.

"Where are you going today Ms. G", I asked?

"I'm going to the home to visit my sister". Ms.G has a younger half sister who is mental challenge and senile. Ms.G had to put her in the home because she kept harassing the male tenants. I wouldn't say anything is wrong with her, she just horny as hell and need some relief.

"She alright"?

"Yeah sister, she alright, just need spend time with her". I nod my head.  I remember when I use to want to spend time in with my sisters. Now I physically or emotionally can not.

Ms.G was married at the age of 15. Back then, that used to be the normal age. Her husband, Hamilton Geiger,  was a 20 year old man looking for a wife and a provider.  He worked some, but Ms.G was the one putting in all the money in the bank. She loved Hamilton and even left her family back in South Carolina to be with him up north.  She figured she could change Hamilton into a strong working man she thought he could be.  Instead he became an abuser and a selfish man.

"That man ain't care about nothing other than his cars and his women", Ms.G would say. "The beatings where bad but I put up a fight, so it wasn't like I was just weak".

"I remember when he use to lock me and the children out of the house because he was so upset,  I had to sneak one of the kids back in just so we can keep out of the cold".

"You would have thought that was my ticket out,  well it was, but my daddy sent me and my children back to that man, saying, you went out and married him you stay with him."  "I'd never forget that day."

"Soon he became a preacher,  isn't that funny, even been caught by the holy ghost couldn't change that man, but God rest his soul".

Ms.G was married to Hamilton for 50 years.
