Chapter Five

Jenna P.O.V

Rocky kissed me! I felt chills tingling down my spine. His lips were so warm and soft. We moved in perfect sync. He finally let go and looked me in the eyes

“Wanna be my girlfriend?” He asked. I smiled and pulled him by his collar. His lips crashed against mine again. I finally pulled away. “Does that answer your question?” I asked. “He smiled and nodded. 

“Sleep over?” I asked. He smiled and laid right next to me and intertwined our fingers together. This couldn’t be anymore perfect. 

Ryland P.O.V

I was at the mall with my good friend Rico when I spotted Katie. She was with her brother. She looked so pretty. Her perfect blonde hair just flowed down her back so perfectly. 

“Yo! Ryland! What are you staring at?” Rico said as he waved his hand in my face. I shook my head out of my daydream of Katie. “Oh nothing.” I said. “Go talk to her.” Rico suggested.

“Should I?” I asked. He nodded and I walked towards Katie. 

“Uh hey Katie.” She looked up at me with her kind hazel eyes. “Hey Ryland.” She replied. “So uh are you doing anything tomorrow night?” I asked. “Umm nothing. Why?” 

“I was wondering if maybe you would like to catch a movieat my house… Or maybe I should go.” I was about to leave but then she grabbed my wrist. “No, Ryland. I would love to actually. Can Jordan come?” She asked. I actually wanted it to be me and her but I didn’t want to be rude.

“Of course he can!’ I said. We exchanged numbers and I headed back towards Rico. “So did you get her number?” He asked. I waved my phone in front of his face and he gave me a high five. 

“So uh, does she have a sister?” Rico asked. I laughed. “No, but she has an older brother.” I said. He shook his head and we headed for the arcade. 

Ross P.O.V

Melody and I were at her house studying in her living room. It was really starting to understand this. We’ve been studying for almost 3 hours and I needed a break so she got us snacks as usual. 

She came back with chips and soda and settled them on the table. “So, I hope you don’t mind me asking but where are your parents?” I asked. “My Dad is on buisness trips.” She replied. 

“And your mom?” I asked. She looked down at her hands and started playing with her thumbs. “She’s umm.. my mom is uh.. she.. died.” She said. “Oh, I-Im so sorry.” I said moving closer to her. 

“It’s okay. You didn’t know.” She replied. “How did she pass?” She looked up at my face and her eyes were filled with tears. I wiped them away with my thumb. “My mom worked on Broadway and many musicals. Then one night my mom was driving home from one of her shows and she was driving on a bridge.” She paused and let some more tears drop from her eyes. “While she was driving on the bridge there was a guy who was drunk and he hit my moms car. The car landed in the ocean and she was missing for a couple of days until police found her car and body and she was pronounced… dead.” She finished. 

There was a long silence after that. I decided to break the silence. “I’m so sorry.” I said. She nodded her head. I lifted up her chin and wiped the tears from her eyes again. We gazed into each others eyes and I started to lean in. 

Surprisingly she did as well. Finally our lips were smashed against each others and we moved in perfect sync. I felt something so magical when we kissed. It felt so perfect. It felt so right. I never felt anything like this when I kissed Jocelyn. Oh no Jocelyn!

I pulled away as quickly as I could. “I gotta go!” I said gathering my stuff quickly. “Ross, wait!” Melody pulled my arm. I looked up at her. “Tell me you felt something in that kiss.” She said. “I’m sorry Melody. I have no idea what your talking about.” I pulled my arm away from her. I didn’t bother to look back because I knew she was hurt.
