We Need To Go

Alexander's P.O.V

                         Once we were out in the streets we slowed down our pace and went to a 7-Eleven because believe it or not, I was starving. Hailey went and got some ramen noodles and I got some sandwiches. We both also got a slushee.

                        We sat in the sidewalk quietly eating our food. "Owww," Hailey suddenly yelped. Being protective I asked her what's wrong. She held her head and whispered "Brainfreeze," I smirked. A brainfreeze? Seriously? I sipped my slushee as she recovered from her 'injury' when I felt a pang of cold hit me right in the head. Next thing I knew was I had brainfreeze. Karma. I Hate Karma. But i guess you could say Karma did a pretty good job.

                    After our late night snack, we decided to go home hoping our parents were asleep so we could sneak in. Once we reached my house I gave Hailey a goodbye hug and kissed her on the lips.She responded.It wasn't steamy or anything,it was slow and sweet.After a while,we stopped kissing and Hailey blushed. Shit she was cute. My heart started beating faster and I was scared that it might just jump out any time. What is she doing to me?

           We said our goodbyes and went back home.

Hailey's P.O.V

            He kissed me! He freaking kissed me! Okay,so you might think what's the deal? It's just a kiss. But it's not! It makes me feel so alive. The butterflies in my stomach is becoming a zoo.

              I entered my house when my mum immediately said,"You need to pack up and leave with Alex. They're coming."

                The moment she said those words. I froze. They caught up with us. Shit shit shit! I ran up to my room and took my phone,calling Alex. "Come on Alex. Pick up!" After a while, Alex picked up my call and said,"Miss me already?" I could practically hear his smirk. But! That's not the time for that.

                  "Alex,this is serious. Listen to everything I'm about to say. Pack up your necessary stuff and loads of cash. You're gonna need it," I said. "But,why?" He replied. "They're coming for us. The council. They know where we are. We aren't safe here anymore.I know it's gonna be hard leaving everything behind but it's for your own safety."

                   Alex immediately understood. He said he would go pack right now and I told him to meet me outside. We don't have much time left. I know how fast the council is. The moment they find out where you are, it's as good as being buried six feet under.

  

                   I knew I had to protect Alex. I couldn't let him become another Lucas. Lucas, you see, he was an ordinary vampire. Yet,he was my bestest friend. He was a very curious person. People would say it's a good quality. Maybe for others,it would but curiousity brought him his demise. And it was because I couldn't stop him.

Flashback

              They were lowering Lucas's coffin into the grave. Friends and family came for his funeral. It showed just how much he left an impact on people's lives considering he was only 11 years old. And it also reminded me that I couldn't stop and save him. It reminded me that I wasn't strong enough to stop him.

              I remember  I had no friends beacause I had no fangs. But Lucas, he didn't care. He walked up to me and gave me a cheeky grin. I was shy at first, but I began to open up. Soon we were the bestest friends.

             He changed my life. I used to be sad,miserable,lonely and gloomy. But when I met him,my life began to turn 360° . It was awesome.

              Now, I killed him.

               

             It's all my fault. I'm sorry Lucas.

            Haiiiii! Sorry for the long wait AND keeping you in suspense for a week (maybe more than that). Anyways, common test is over, Remya stomach is cured. So I'm glad to say updating schedules will be the same again till further notice.
