It's the last day. Today is the last day I'll ever get to see Apollo again. My parents have decided that he was going back to the pound. I didn't dare ask why because I knew I'd be punished. But on the bright side, I guess I could say I hope he'll be with a new, loving family.
A few hours later, it is time to take Apollo to the pound. I walked in with Apollo by my side one last time with tears streaming down my face like a river. By the time I was leaving the pound, I started sobbing uncontrollably. My mom said "It's for the best Simon, you know why we had to take him back to the pound."
