Everyday i go to school

Everyday 141 kids can't

because they aren't kids anymore

because now they have .223 or .22 or .9 diameter holes carved in them

And they aren't kids anymore because they've become a statistic

And they won't be kids anytime soon because because were still fighting if the metal sticks that engraved those holes should still be available

Class starts for me and i just can't pay attention

Cause i'm playing the game called

'whats would happen if a gunman showed up in here?'

The fact that 215,000 kids have seen how that game ends is terrifying

That's a bright red flag

like the ones that spouted through the kids' chest and backs and arms

Passing period comes along

and i walk the halls of my school

the one that has been blessed with the blindness

of hard lock downs

of the blind panic and bile in your throat as you pray that today won't be the last

of the whimpers that comes from your classmates unconsciously

I've only heard of about 10

its concerning that people can name more then

2 mass shooting that killed kids

we shouldn't be able to name any

it should have stopped before it started
