We have twelve hours before the moon rises. The remaining Omegas are on constant patrol and Colt is leading the pack alongside Braxton in our absence.

Killian and I made the decision to travel to the Homeland to alert Dad and the others of what's happening.

"Are you ready?" Killian enters the bedroom, dressed in a brown coat, underneath a white graphic tee. His legs clad in his usual jean-like pants made of a flexible material so he isn't hindered during a fight.

"I wish we didn't have to involve them," I say, kneeling down beside the triplets' bed, holding one of Boston's plushies, feeling the little indents from where his teeth have pierced.

"Jamie, mi amor, we're doing what needs to be done for the survival of the pack."

"What about the survival of our kids?" I snap.

"Jamie,"

"I know, Killer, okay? I know that as Luna I have a duty to uphold the safety of our pack but our kids are at risk if we bring this to their doorstep!" I throw my fist forward, awaiting the pain to run through my arm, but when it never comes I look to see my wrist taken in by my mate's.

"I am scared shitless," He says, bringing my hand to his heart. "We sent them away to protect them. And we've failed to eliminate Mosea."

It all hit me in a crushing wave. All of his guilt, shame, and rage pouring out.

"I'm sorry, Killian. This is all my fault. I should've killed her. I should've," I sob, caving into him. He holds me right, running his hand along my spine, while whispering softly in my ear and leaving fluttering kisses against my temple.

"Look at me," He holds my face in his hands, his Alpha eyes surely bringing my Luna eyes out. "You saved our little girl. You are an amazing Luna and an even better father to our pups. We're going to stop Mosea."

"And then our babies are coming home."

We step foot in the Homeland and  it's changed quite a bit over the last year. Although Grandfather remains the reigning monarch, Dad has taken control of most of the duties.

Under his leadership, he managed to expand the village settled on the outskirts of the castle and has permitted refugees from other realms to settle there.

After, the Raiders were all rallied they stood trial and Dad made the executive decision to only execute their leaders and gave the rest a choice to live here in peace. Most took it.

In such short time he's already made it a better place than Grandfather left it.

"Nephew! Nephew-in-Law!" As we approach  the castle gates, Carlito catches sight of us and makes a quick run over.

He engulfs me in a tight hug, lifting me an inch or so off the ground before turning to Killian, surprisingly doing the same.

"What brings you guys?" He asks taking a step back. He's clad in Elite Guard gear, but modified to fit his particular style of combat. Armor protects his torso and legs with bits of flesh showing at his arms and ankles.

"We've come to see my father and the pups," I tell him. "Is he busy?"

"One thing about Phillip, he'll never be too busy for his own flesh. Follow me." Killian tails me as we follow Carlito into the castle.

Instantly, upon entering the throne room, joyful yips sound off and before I know it our babies are at our feet. Evelyn jumps over her brothers, shifting mid air, landing directly in her Papa's arms.

"Why hello, Mija." She immediately nuzzles into his neck. The boys shift and I lift them moving closer to Killian, allowing all of our scents to mingle.

"We've missed you so much." I blink away stray tears, inhaling the scent of my pups as if committing it to memory.

"Bubby!" We look to the side door of the room, in walking Allister with Mono on his hip, Cartrite, Benny, and Dad.

We approach, Killian taking Mono into his arms with Evelyn.

"Jamie, what's going on? Your emotions are all over. Both of you."

Dad meets my eyes and for a second it's like I'm a child all over again. Tears immediately spill.

"Killian, take the kids away. I will fill them in." He nods allowing the boys to grab onto his shoulders.

"Kid, what happened?" Cartrite asks offering me a drink as we take a seat in the council room.

"Mosea is pushing hard. She's stolen Braxton's wolf and unleashed his Spark. Obi was killed and she's enslaved  so many of our Omegas. The Blood Moon is tonight and I we're almost out of time." My mouth moves so fast I'm not even sure if they all understand me. It's only when I feel a hand covering my own that I look up, meeting Benny's gaze.

"You should have come to us sooner, Jamie." He says softly. "We're your family."

"Cartrite, prepare the Cantu. Bennett, gather the Raiders." Dad commands, nothing similar to the voice he raised me with. This voice was stronger, fierce yet steady.

The voice of a King.

They take to their tasks, Dad and Allister coming to my sides guiding me back to the office where Killian resides with the pups.

"Killian, I have decided that I will remain here with the pups. You will gather the pack and lead them to handle Mosea." Allister says.

"Yes, Sir." Killian says, rating Boston down to rest with the others.

"Jamie, I cannot leave the Homeland right now. Your Grandfather has died and I am to be crowned."

"Dad, I can't do this without you," I say and he hushes me pulling me into his chest.

"Jameson, you are stronger than you're allowing yourself to accept. Do you remember the oath?" He steps back crossing his fist to his heart.

I swallow and follow his example.

"I vow to brave the fires of hell to protect those who cannot protect themselves." I feel my Father's pride flow just as I know he feels my admiration.

"We're going to put a stop to this," Killian says coming to my side. "Thank you both. We'll see you soon."

We leave and I feel the gaze of our fathers fleet away. Killian and I exchange a look but no words. A conversation with no beginning or end.

They forged us in their image.

"We're ready to depart, Luna." Cartrite says, dressed in his usual battle attire. His arsenal of weapons strapped to his person.

I look to the mass of fighters.

The Cantu are the Hunters turned by Allister and trained with Cartrite beside him. They sport a more flexible armor to your typical soldier to allow their enhanced movements room to flow as free as if they were in street clothes.

The Raiders that chose to stay are members of a guard led by Benny to protect the village, all dressed in traditional Homeland Guard Armor. I recognize one of them as the Raider I threw a chair at when I got held hostage.

"Are you ready, Killer?" I ask. He cups my face bringing his lips to mine, kissing me deeply. A low rumble  rises from his chest before he pulls away.

"Let's end this."
