I pledged allegiance to the flag of Liberia 🇱🇷 and to the Republic for which it stands. One Nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all....:
"One Nation"; held internal conflict from 1989 to 1997, killing over 250,000 citizens.
"One Nation"; developed many rebel factions to remove one leader to get in power just to repeat the very things they were against.
"One Nation"; separated families by death because a certain tribal group could not understand other dialects.
"One Nation"; with fights from NPFL in 1989, building tension as they fought against the AFL, later leading onto other factions in a few years after, like LURD and MODEL, just to fight, destroy our country and kill ourselves.
"One Nation"; was the reason West Africa formed a force sent on a mission for peacekeeping. So one leader of a faction was given asylum while the other held elections in July, 1997.
Can we discuss this "One Nation" adequately?
...."Indivisible with liberty and justice for all" ...
Maybe this line in the Pledge is missing the allegiance.
Maybe the justice system does not recognize it.We still have people going to prison for no reason,
"Liberty" seems it's only for those who commit atrocities and those who violate governmental policies,
"Justice" seems it's not for those without money, because it's not easy being an ordinary citizen.Officials of the State are not punished by the laws, so, who is this "all" justice is for?
Our rights are still violated and it seems nobody cares for us.
Citizens are complaining while those representing them are discussing things outside their pains,
What a tragedy? We constantly vote for the opposite, but in this Republic where I stand, the Capitol Building is a place to become Kings and Queens.
Yet! I still pledge allegiance!
