Day at the Park

"So you telling me you have to leave tomorrow?" I asked playing with Carter's little hands. "Yeah, Duke got himself into some shit that's why he been the way he's been to Amari. He owe half a mill to a nigga in Miami so I'm see what's going on." I nodded my head not liking it but I didn't feel like arguing.

Duke was always in some shit, I guess this was his end road with playing with folks money.

"Don't tell Amari this shit." I looked him upside his head. "Okay nigga! Ow, I can't wait for yo ass to go." I rolled my eyes. I was just tired of him being everybody's escape goat. There was no beef with Duke but facts is he's been smelling his ass lately spending the next man's money. That man wanted his money and nobody could blame him for that.

"Yo, why you got an attitude?" He stopped packing his bag sitting next to me. "Don't even worry about it." "Nah cause you feeling some type of way so wassup?" I rolled my eyes again making him grab my face. "What's wrong?" He looked concerned. "I'm just tired of you saving everyone, you should be here with your family. Not saving a grown man's ass cause he stole some money now dude want his money back." I moved his hand away scooting back on the bed.

"I understand yo frustration bae, Duke still learning and making dumb ass mistakes. I put him in this shit so I gotta give him a chance, Mo coming too. Trust me if a nigga really had a choice then I'd stay here with you and the kids. How about this.." He grabbed my hand. "When I come back you and the kids be packed and I'll fly y'all to Miami and we stay for a week?"

I smiled hugging his neck. "That's perfect." I pecked his lips repeatedly not able to shake the cheesy smile. My body was back right and I had a lot of swimming suits I needed to show off in. "Exactly what I thought." He bit his bottom lip making me blush.

"Ah!" Carter yelled before bursting into laughter making us laugh. "You like the sound of that?" Rodger picked him up tossing him in the air making me nervous. "Not too much." I warned standing up. "Shut up!" He smacked my ass making me flip him off. I went in the bathroom closing and locking the door. I looked at myself in the mirror smiling to myself, I've been waiting for a family vacation forever now. I always wanted to say something but I thought he'd just put me off and say we couldn't right now.

I turned the nob to the bath tub until it got warm enough for me and Carter to take a bath. He was just like me, loved hot water which I'm glad cause I can't sit in no damn luke warm water. I walked in the closet thumbing through his little onesies trying to find something for him to wear today. It was roughly two in the afternoon so we were going to go to the park. Just me, Carter, Ari, and Rodger because Cassity and Cj were doing their own little thing.

I grabbed some blue jean shorts and a tank top with some cute sandals to wear.

"Open up!" Rodger knocked on the door. I unlocked it going to turn the water off, "can you take his clothes off for me?" "How about you take yours off for me." I turned around seeing his big smirk making me laugh. "Is it a day that you go without thinking about sex?" He shrugged his shoulders making me scoff.

I took my clothes off getting in the hot water feeling my body relax. He passed me Carter before sitting down on the toilet. "So exactly what you plan on doing when you get down there?" I slowly dipped his toes in the water watching him stare blankly at me.

"I'm go down there, set a meeting up about Duke paying him back. I don't know that nigga to have beef so I'm just get his money back." I nodded my head smiling. "My man all grown up." "Man." He smacked his lips chuckling. "I'm just tryna stay out of drama but never forget who I use to be." I nodded my head already knowing. "But I'm glad you on another path, the last thing we need is you having a war. I just got Rick to stop looking for Eli's killer two months ago."
