Mum

Percy POV

After Tony  had showed me his.. house, I sat down next to Dad-still holding his hand. 

'Where is this?' I asked. 

'Your in the kitchen' 

'What's a kitchen?'

'It's where someone makes food' Dad said. 

'What's food?' 

'Um.. it's something someone eats so they are strong and healthy' 

'Oh' I still gripped Dad's hand. My other hand gripping Thalia's. 

' How does someone eat?'

'Oh gods' Nico said, slapping his face. 

'Why do you keep slapping your face? Should I slap my face?' I asked. 

'No. Sometimes we do that when we get tired' Nico said. 

'Oh' Steve put something on my plate. I stared at it.

'What is it?' I said, poking whatever was on my plate. 

'It's a sandwich' Natasha said. 

'What do I do with it?' Thalia picked up her sandwich and put it in her mouth. She clomped on it and swallowed. 

'That's what you do with it' I looked at Dad, who was doing the same to his sandwich. 

' Um..' I picked it up. And put it in my mouth. I bit it and swallowed it.

'Is this food?' I asked.

'It's some of food' Clint answered. 

'Dad?' I asked. He looked at me

'Can we see Mum today?' Dad smiled and nodded. 

'Can they come with me as well?' I asked pointing at Natasha, Clint, Bruce, Tony and Steve. 

'Of course' 

'Oh and Nico and Thalia?' 

'Yep!' 

'Next time you mean us, Percy you an say friends. Okay?' Thalia said.

'Okay'

I held Dad's hand as we walked down the street. 

'Dad?' I said. He looked at me. 

'Are you, me and Mum a... what do they call it...?' I concentrated, looking for the right words. 

'Family?' Nico said. I nodded. 

'Yeah. Why?' Dad replied. 

'Do you see her a lot?'

'Sometimes' 

'Are you 'together'?' My friends laughed. Dad turned red. 

'Yes.' He said, looking away. 

'Dad?' 

'Yeah?'

'Why are you turning red?' If possidble, he turned even redder. 

'Percy, do you know that Nico and Thalia's are your cousins?' Dad said, at last. 

'No. I thought they were my friends. What's a cousin?' Nico and Thalia smiled. 

'Our parents are brothers of your Dad. We're related. I'm his neice. And Nico's his nephew' Thalia answered. 

'Oh, does that mean that your'e not my friends?' I asked. 

'Of course we're your friends' Nico said. I nodded, smiling.

In front of me was that rectangle thing. I stared at it. 

'What's that?' 

'A door. You turn this and it  opens but when you're standing in front of it- you knock' Dad knocked on the door and a lady opened it. You could tell that she was nice. She had dark brown hair and light brown eyes. She smiled that could make anyone smile back at her. 

' Percy!' She engulfed me in a hug. I hugged her back. 

'Mum' I breathed. 

'My baby boy' I smiled, not sure if calling me that was a good thing. 

'Oh you brought friends. Come in! You're lucky , Percy's friends- I made cookies' Mum said and walked in. We walked in. I followed Dad and sat on the sofa... I think.Mum came out with a tray in her hands.Blue cookies!

Dad and I lunged at them, stuffing them in our mouths. Nico and Thalia ate themas well. 

'Wow' Nico said, 'Percy said your cooking was good but not this good' Thalia nodded. Tony eyed the cookis but took one in the end. He took one bite and said, 

'O my gods! It's like biting into heaven!' He took another. My friends all moaned as they took a bite. And soon all the cookies were gone. Mum came back. She sat next to me. 

'You didn't eat them all, did you?' 

'Whay should I say?' I whispered to Dad.

'Say 'no'' He whispered. 

'No' I said. Mum raised an eyebrow. 

'Anyway, where have you been? I've been worried sick! So has Paul!' 

'Um.... are your ears supposed to be pink?' 

'Answer the question, young man!' 

'Um... er.. I've been staying with my friends... I think.' 

'Oh, you've been staying at Camp?' 

'No , he's been with us' Tony said, 'The Avengers. Iron Man at your service' He said, proudly. 

'Oh, hi' Mum said, 'Should I know him?' She whispered to me. 

'I don't exactly know' I whispered back. 

'Mum?' 

'Yeah, sweetie?' 

'What exactly does Dad mean when he said, 'Get together'' I asked. Everyone bursted out laughing, while Mum and Dad turned red. 

'Why are you guys turning red?' I asked. That only made them laugh harder.
