"Have you remembered all your schoolbooks?"
"Yes, yes mum every last one of them. I have Rosemary and Sage in their respective baskets, my robes are in my trunk and I have my money."
"Hurry then get on.Have fun and dont get into trouble! Love you!!!" My family called as the train pulled away.
This year Im finally going to Hogwarts. My parents are both wizard and witch, but I didn't live in a magical home, just a normal muggle city, amonst muggle children. I don't know much about magic, but from what I've picked up from my older sister, I could probably do a few spells.
The train ride took forever or at least my definition of it. I had to sit with my older sister, Wills, and her friends, Mikie, Alice, Jade, and Dan. I got bored of their constant yammering about the strider-whatzits and egberts-something-or-another, so I devised a plan. I told them I had to go to the bathroom, actually intending to find a new place to sit.
I found a cabin with only two girls in it. A blond haired one with a ponytail in and a brown haired one, like me, but with a sock bun instead of having it down. I slid open the door because they looked like first years and weren't wearing sneers like some of the kids that stepped on my heels while I was following Wills to the cabin.
"Is anybody else sitting here?"
"Oh, no, you can take it." said the girl with the ponytail "Oh, and I'm Kate and that's Emma."
I hear running." Soooo" I hear the door slide" I'm Amy." Someone grabs me.
"You said you were gonna go to the bathroom, so what are you doing here?"
"Uh, um, er, I was just uh-"
"Asking where the bathroom was!" Emma cut in.
"Okay, then." Wills said in a sarcasically upbeat tone. "Better get into your pajamas, soon. It's about nine at night and we're going to have a few delays. The candy lady is making rounds, too," she explained, tossing me a Sickle. She continued, which might have been irritating had she not just given me food money. "Buy yourself some dinner. It's going to be a long night. Have fun with your buddies here."
I plopped down with a wave of releif washing over me and just sat there untill i relized
"Thanks for that. We would have been screaming in seconds."
The candy cart rolled up to us. "Anything, children?"
