My hands were shaky as we got closer to Wakanda. I glanced over at Bucky and Hayley all cuddled up. They looked so happy, so damn happy. It made me miss her more.

The cold metal of my shield was the one I could feel. I felt numb. I felt so out of place without her by my side. I couldn't help but think of what could have happened to her. I'll kill Erik with my bare hands if he laid a finger on her.

A hand landed on my shoulder, "You okay?"

It was Thor.

"What if she's hurt, like badly?" I asked.

"What if she isn't?" He asked back.

"I'll kill that son of a bitch if he hurt her," I growled, gripping my shield tighter.

Thor laughed, "As long as I can help,"

"Deal,"

Loki stood up and walked over to us. Him and Scarlett have grown really close over the past couple of months. They've bonded over books, movies, music, art, food and the pain they've been through.

"She's strong," Loki spoke.

"I know she is, but I'm still worried," I said.

"We all are. She's become my closest friend and the person I can come to with anything. She's absolutely amazing," he said, smiling.

"I love her. More than anything," I whispered.

Bucky smirked at me, "We know. You're whipped, dude,"

"So are you!"

"You have a point,"

We all laughed. It was nice to have a laugh with everyone and to feel something again. It's been really lonely without Scarlett here. She has always made things better, funnier, and more enjoyable. She's so amazing.

"We're here," Wanda said, looking at me.

I strapped my shield onto my back and grabbed my phone. My thumb clicked on Scarlett's contact and I sent a quick text, praying that she answers.

steve 🌎💘- Hi, baby girl. We're here

Scarlett 💍❤️- no. go back. it's too dangerous

steve 🌎💘- I'm not going back. I'm here to get you back, Scar and I'm not leaving without you.

Scarlett 💍❤️- t'challa's dead and erik just became king.

Holy shit.

"Guys, we have a problem," I said.

Bucky looked at me, "What?"

"Erik just became the new king of Wakanda,"

"You're shitting me, right?" Hayley asked.

"I wish I was," I answered, clenching my jaw tight.
