Chapter Forty-three

I've already killed Zach a hundred times in my mind and yet, his playful smile was still plastered on his face, na para bang tuwang tuwa siya sa sitwasyon naming dalawa, he's delightful at how torn I am.

Pinipilit ko na lang ang sarili ko na iwasan siya ng titig. I hate him! I hate everything about him!

"So I picked both of you because I can see your potential especially in this field," pagpapaliwanag nung author na si Crista. She was with the producers and director. "Si Aleandra, you have this seductive beauty just exactly as my heroine na wala 'yung ibang nag-audition. I think it's in your attitude... strong, independent. Very nice. Si Zach naman, you have an oozing sex appeal just like my leading man. We will have a second lead but we are still deciding who to take. Marami kasi talagang nag-audition and I wanted to have the perfect cast as written in my books."

I almost rolled my eyes when Zach chuckled. The thing about him, you never compliment him as it goes directly to his head!

"But as both of you know, this story is romance," patuloy sa pagpapaliwanag niya, pabalik balik ang tingin sa amin ni Zach. "If you researched about me, you'll know that I'm famous for putting detailed bed scenes and kissing scenes. Fortunate for you, the first installment doesn't have bed scenes yet. So we will be sponsoring for your acting workshops for the next three months. This won't be like any of the acting workshops you have attended. This will work specifically at your weaknesses, and so you can be comfortable with each other."

I tried to keep a straight face para hindi nila mahalata kung gaano kalaki ang pagkailang ko kay Zach. They discussed the contract, the fee, and everything we needed to do. Some of the shooting will take place at Palawan.

Pagkauwi ko sa condo ay agad kong hinanap si Spencer. I don't know how he'll react to this but I know I should tell him immediately. Nadatnan ko siya sa kitchen with only his brief and apron on. He was making something and it really smelled nice. Roger was wagging his tail and looking up at the food.

I whistled at Spencer and smacked his round ass.

"Hey, you," he winked at me.

"What are you cooking?" Dinungaw ko ang casserole.

"Soup," he grabbed a spoon at his side. Kumuha siya ng sopas na niluluto niya at nilagay iyon sa harap ko. "Taste it."

Napangiti ako at hinipan iyong sopas bago tuluyang tinikman.

"How was it?" He looked at me expectantly.

"Too salty," kumuha ako ng kalahating baso ng tubig at nilagay iyon sa sopas. This is us everyday - teamwork.

Kumuha muna ako ng tyempo bago sabihin sa kan'ya. I didn't want to ruin his good mood.

"Spencer, I got accepted in the audition," paninimula ko at tumabi sa kan'ya sa kama. "I'll be in a movie with a lead role."

Nilingon niya ako at kumurba ang dulo ng kan'yang labi. "I know you can make it."

Bumuntong hininga ako. I know he feels uncomfortable with Zach, and so do I, but I want to make a decision with him. I don't want to have any regrets in the future.

"What's wrong?" Ramdam niya ang pagkailang ko.

"Zach will be the leading man." Nilingon ko siya at ang kan'yang ngiti ay mabilis napawi. I really want this to happen, I've been working so hard for this audition, but Spencer's opinion matters. Siya lang iyong kasama ko habang inaabot ko ang mga pangarap ko. He became more than just my boyfriend, he is my family.
