I stood at the edge of the Neon river and gazed upon the water. The fresh breeze blow through my fiery hair as I breathed into the ocean smell. As sudden pain rush through my skin. I looked down at my black jeans which were all muddy and dirty and my red top was all ripped. "What?" I questioned. I pressed my hand on my stomach where deep cuts ran through my skin. "How?" I winced. Suddenly, day turned into night and life turned into death. All that was around me has died, trees, plants the Earths life. "What is this?" Screams echoed down near the Base. Tiffany? I started to run towards the base when a sudden force of fear collapsed on me. My breath went shaky and my knees crumbled. I don't know why, but I was terrified. I wanted to run and hide and get away from the danger. Another scream entered my ears Noah? My friends are in trouble. I swallowed down my fear and ran towards the base. In front of me stood a twenty-foot beast. Its skin was pure darkness with cracks of poison purple ran through the beast's skin. Noah, Tiffany, Josh, Max and Patrick all were trying to stop the beast. Tiffany was limping on her right leg and cuts ran across her body. She was covered in dirt and was crying while holding up her knife. I ran towards her.

"Tiffany?" I ask, stepping next to her. With no answer, I jumped in front of her. "Tiff?!" She didn't even look at me, or even hear me. It was like I wasn't even in front of her.

"Tiffany!" Patrick yelled, stumbling up to her. She turned around.

"How is she?"

Patrick looked down to his feet and shook his head. "Not good." He admitted. "Josh is trying to heal her, but nothing is working. Tiff-" He hesitated. "I think she's gone."

Tiffany looked him in the eyes and started to shake. "She can't be. She's not dead!" She bawled.

"I'm sorry Tiff," Patrick grieved. "Rose is dead."

My jaw dropped, and my eyes widened. Tiffany feel to the ground and sobbed. Patrick bent down next to her. "That's not true!" I yelled. "I'm not dead!" I bent down next to Tiffany and Patrick. "I'm right here! Just look at me!" I extended my arm out to hold her hand, but my hand just went right through her. It was like a was a ghost. "No, no, no, no!" I tried to grabbed her hand again, but it just did the same thing. "I'm not dead!" I repeated. "I can't be."

Roars echoed through my ears and rumbled the ground. I looked up to see the Beast standing over us. Tiffany and Patrick looked up, but they didn't move. They didn't even get out their weapons. All of a sudden, I was being pulled back like a force or a strong wind that forced me to go back. "Tiffany! Patrick! No!" I was too far for them to hear. "No!" The beast raised it's left foot over Tiffany and Patrick. "Run!" I warned. "Please run!" But they didn't. The beast let go and crushed Tiffany and Patrick. "No." I froze.

My eyes flew open as I took a deep breath. I looked around to see I was on my bed in my room. "It was just a dream." I assumed. I caught my breath and began to clam down. "It was just a dream." I smiled.

"Rose?"

I jumped out of my skin and turned to the shadow next to me. "Scarlett?!" I murmured. Sitting on the edge of my bed, was my nurse-well Guardian, Scarlett.

"It's okay." She whispered. "Don't be afraid."

"But-but" I stumbled. "How are you here? Why are you here?"

"To show you."

"Show me what?" I questioned.

"The future which you've already seen in the dream I placed upon you." She explained like this was normal.

"The dream? That was you!" She nodded. "But why? Why would you put that nightmare in my head?"

"I had too. If I didn't then the timeline will be continued on the same path as it is now and if we continue on this path...every single Gifted will die." She warned. "I had to show you the future before it was too late."
