- YUMNA xxC H A P T E R T W E L V E
I watched as Stefan approached Zero's lunch table, whose jaw was visibly slacked as he shoved one of the boys off their seat to make room for Stefan.
Meanwhile, I went and joined my own table, of which consisted of Tony and Luna, and once again, no Zara. I think this was the longest time she's been gone for.
I sighed, as I sat opposite of Luna and Tony, whom were both staring over me and at Zero's table, just like the rest of the cafeteria except me.
I cleared my throat. "Hey, guys." I whispered, but even that sounded like a shout in this extremely quiet room. However, like hypnotised robots, they continued to ignore me and look straight ahead of me, as if I was suddenly invisible.
"Hello?" I sang, nudging both of them. But they wouldn't even budge.
I sighed and looked behind my shoulder at Zero's table, and watched as Stefan whispered something to Zero. Zero nodded and stood up, facing the entire cafeteria. "Is there a problem?!"
Although he didn't have the Zara effect on people, he did get a satisfactory result. Slowly, everyone resumed eating, gossiping amongst each other.
Finally, Luna and Tony turned around, and by the looks of it, had a mini heart attack when they saw me. "Oh my gosh, Raiya, you're here! Didn't even see you." Tony laughed.
"Yeah, I could see that." I spoke through my gritted teeth, rummaging through my bag for my lunch. Then I realised how I literally jumped out of bed, ran to school this morning, and therefore forgot to pack my lunch.
"Raiya, do you know why Stefan bloody Chase is sitting with Zero Grayson?" Luna asked enthusiastically, her big emerald eyes staring back at me with uttermost curiosity.
"Yeah, I kind of convinced him too." I shrugged, uncontrollably eyeing Luna's lasagna hungrily.
"What?!" They both chorused, as Luna shoved her lunchbox towards me.
"Yeah, it was the perfect excuse, really. He wanted buying me an ice-cream today at lunch, and I told him to hang out with the basketball gang instead." I munched on a piece of Luna's delicious lasagna, before furrowing my brows. "The way he asked me was really weird, actually... He seemed almost nervous."
Tony and Luna shared a look, before Tony facepalmed and bluntly pointed out, "Darling, he was asking you out."
Tony's ridiculous words caused me to choke on the lasagna, attracting attention from the surrounding tables.
