Darkness.
It surrounded me like a blanket and silence seemed to be the only thing I knew.
In this realm of nothingness, I am nobody.
Nothing but warmth could be felt.
A heat that wrapped around me, closing me off from the rest of the world where only the bitter cold awaits.
I am content.
My heart beats against its cage, the small sound echoing, its music resonating throughout my very being.
And then...
There was light.
Fucking penetrating light.
The cold flooded my senses, washing over me like rain on a cold October evening.
"RISE AND SHINE, SLEEPING UGLIES! TIME TO GET UP!"
I glared at the light where the shadow of my demented little brother stood, grinning at me like a maniac.
"'Zrael, I swear to you right now, if you don't stop yelling I will never mak-"
"YELLING?! WHAT DO YOU ME- Ooomph!"
A sleepy chuckle could be heard from the bed next to mine, as the rest of Ezrael's sarcastic comment got absorbed in the pillow that had been thrown right at his face.
Ezmerelle.
I glanced at her direction and winked at her.
"Ew!! This has your drool on it!", 'Zrael complained.
"So, what if it does?", 'Ezmerelle asks with a bored look on her face.
"Wanna find out?" Ezrael cracks his knuckles.
I just sighed and shook my head.
This day better be worth the cruel awakening.
