The infected wasteland

Prologue

 The year is 2093. The United States has just finished a war with Canada, causing the USA to lose two more states. The States were not ready for the attack. This left the USA with only 27 states left. Only the west coast remains now. The Canadians used a modified virus to knock out soldiers. The men & women who returned from war were carriers of the virus, it's so infectious that even breathing the same air as someone infected can possibly give you the virus. The virus causes the user to slowly turn to insanity in the span of seven days.

On day one you start to feel a bit sick but nothing else. Day two, you'll start to vomit randomly. Day 3 is really when it starts to hurt, you will start losing conscious randomly along with the vomiting, you also hear a sharp ringing in your ears. Day four you will start to hallucinate and see figures walking around and all staring at you. Day 5 the vomiting will get more frequent and randomly you will vomit blood. Day 6 the ringing has gotten so loud that you will not be able to hear anything but the ringing. Day 7; the end, the person with the virus will start to have total organ failure causing a painful, slow, death.

The virus has gotten so common that showing even the slightest signs of the virus are executed. While most are trying to get away, some have turned it into a religion, thinking those without the virus are the infected ones and kidnapping and ¨purifying¨ the people by giving the people the virus. Mad is what I call them.
