I woke up early monday morning and looked outside my window to see the rain pouring down. Walking to my dresser and slipping on my school clothes. A pair of black jeans, black combat boots, and a black T-shirt with my favorite band on the front. Falling in Reverse. I stopped and looked into the mirror on my closet door before I left. I had blond hair, blue eyes, muscular body, and a burn scar that stretched down the left side of my face and torso, and I was five foot eleven.
" Happy 18th birthday Argent." I said walking out of my room and down the stairs. I grabbed my keys and my Ipod Shuffle and walked out of the house. The garage was on the far right side of my families mansion, it takes me about three minutes just to get there and in. Clicking the unlock button on my car I hopped in and drove out of the garage and down the street. I had a jet black McLaren F1 with jet black tinted windows. It had all the bells a whistles put into it.
" Crap! Almost forgot my cell." I said, while I made a U-turn for my house. Running back into my room grabbing the phone and rushing back out of the house and too my car, and continued to drive too school. When I was about half way there my phone vibrated, signaling I had recieved a text.
" I wonder who this could be." I already knew the answer to that question before I even touched my phone. Reaching down I grabbed my phone and typed in my password and looked at the message. It was from Alyss Whitlock. Saying happy birthday. It was not the person I expected. Not at all.
Alyss was about five foot five with blonde hair down to her waist, green eyes and a few freckles. She was skinny but she had some muscle all the same. Thinking back to living in Dryden, Ontario. Life was so much simpler then it was now. I would skip school and hang out with Alyss till school was out. Dreading when I would have to leave and say goodbye to her, because I thought that I loved her.
" Argent, will you go for a walk with me?" Alyss asked as she stood up stretching out her hand towards me. Standing up and grabbing her hand, I stared into her eyes a moment before I wrapped my fingers around hers.
" Yes! I....ugh..mean sure." My cheeks were bright red now, and not just from the cold. Alyss giggled and poked my cheek.
" Awh you're blushing." She was smiling now and it seemed as though her teeth were a little bit sharper then usual. She lead me away from her house and down towards the lake. She took a really old and dark path through the woods. She was able to dodge past every tree branch and root, while I was tripping over every rock. Looking up at her it seemed as though she was floating, shaking my head a few times I knocked that thought from my mind.
" We're almost there Argent don't worry." She pulled us out of the trees and onto an old cobble stone path, that lead towards the old cave. I was confused now. When my pace began too slow down Alyss turned around too face me.
" Why are we going to the caves?" I asked with a confused look upon my face. Alyss reached up and placed a hand on my scarred cheek before she spoke.
" It's a surprise silly!" She said smiling as she continued to pull us towards the caves. I shrugged the worrying thoughts away. As we both climbed the steps she looked back at me and her eyes were ruby red. I was way to exhausted for my brain to notice the change, but it was stored in the back of my mind. Finally we reached the mouth of the cave and she stopped.
" You're surprise is inside the cave. Go on!" Alyss said as she pushed me into the cave. I stumbled around inside the cave for what seemed like hours, but it was merely minutes. Stopping to catch my breath after the long walk here and up the stairs. That's when I finally started to hear the foot steps near me. Panicking I began to run farther into the cave, tripping over a rock. I covered my head as I fell hard onto the ground. The foot steps got closer and closer, their pace picking up. As dazed as I was I couldn't get myself back up to run. The noises stopped so close too me I felt as if I could reach out and grab someone. Suddenly someone grabbed me and began too drag me farther into the cave. My head started to hit every single rock that it came across.
