17. Fight or flight p1

"Now I remember," Arisu said  touching her head, "that fool is insanely strong." 

She still wasn't sure what she was going to do now but she was curious about Tooru. 

"Maybe I should go back to the camp where Tooru is...but then again, Ken or Tatsumi might track me there," she stood there for a while thinking of her options. 

She paused for a moment as she remembered something, her grandparents. Arisu panicked for a while because the house she escaped from belonged to her grandparents. After calming down a bit, she mentally goes over her encounter with Ken. 

" That bastard..." It was then she realised what Ken had done to her grandparents. He had killed them and the vial he had probably contained a small portion of their blood. Sorrow, anger and regret welled within her as she reminisced happy memories of her grandparents. The only people who accepted her existence into the world. Tears flowed down her cheeks. She sniffled ass she wiped away those tears. 

A rustling in the bushes sort of caught her off guard. Emerging from there was a familiar brown headed male. 

" Arisu?"  he was confused at the state she was in. It was rare for him to see the young girl cry. Without a second thought, he rushed over to her and embraced her in a hug. Arisu hugged back. "Tooru?" More tears flowed down her cheeks. "We have to leave," he whispered to her. "Its not safe here anymore. The humans are going to retaliate." He grabs Arisu's face, holding it close to his. "I missed you so much. I was so worried about you."

Arisu felt awkward. She pulled her face away from his. She clenched her fists as she stood up. "I got some unfinished business," she said. Predicting what she was thinking about, Tooru grabbed onto her wrist. "You can't go back there. Its too dangerous," he tried to persuade her to follow him.  Arisu pulled away. "I got nothing to lose," she answered. "Our friendship," Tooru confronted her. Arisu sighed. 

"Well well well. Now what do we have here?"
