Oh such a story i have to tell, of someone who's living in his personal hell.

Surrounded by creatures, no friend in site, he felt so lonely while writing his plight.

They call him The Watcher, a monster who fell. The last of his kind to cry in his cell.

Igniting fear in those who see, he never really wanted to be.

His mere existence he felt was a lie,
Why is it they want him to die?

His heart was hurting, the pain to much, but all he wanted was the warmth of a touch. He love so dearly yet was push off the ledge. abandon , an outcast, holding on to the edge.

He never thought his fate would change, but all it took was one person to engage. A conversation he held so dear, he thanked god that she was near.

Somehow seeing  the kindness in him, past his horrific horns and scaley limbs. Was it fate that had brought them together or a cruel joke to play on forever and ever.

Her voice so angelic was loved by most , he thought for sure his face would roast. With a vivid smile and a tilt of her head, she spoke very kindly as she then said.

“You're misunderstood and feared by all but ill stay with you and make you stand tall. so Never give up because your more than rare. You have so much potential, it's hard to bare”

her word struck him and made him feel sane and that's when he realized what he had gained. A friendship soon to grow very strong, something pure to never go wrong.

And  just like that they started to grow, stronger and stronger. Until their friendship became longer and longer. She’d healed him for sure, that was a fact. So much so he never knew how to act.

From a monster to someone that she could hold dear. He never wanted to lose her, that much was clear.
He felt protective wherever they’d go, even if it was a cave way down below.

The crystals glowed with a certain shine, maybe he could grab one and ask “would you care to be mine?” but he knew what that could do, jeopardized what they had, through and through.

This is what he now feared, the thought of a lose, one so deep it would dearly cost. But in the back of his mind he grabbed a crystle, rather it pain him like the thorn of a thistle. Maybe one day he’d confess to her, oh how the thought left him to stir.

Time went on as they did to, little did they know about something new. A demon in disguise with a facade so true, no one saw what was beginning to brue.

In a tiny village that she called home, even though she went with him to go and roam. The villagers were quiet about her friend, they all knew they had to pretend. Their Fear of death was massive you see, and no one could kill faster than he.

Never once did they give him a chance, no matter how close he got, they swore to never advance.

That was until they needed a savior but would he help them while recalling their behavior? The one deemed golden throughout the village was actually evil, and beginning to pillage. Being not who they’d said, they gained the peoples trust so that they could do whatever they must.

To feed a hunger buried so deep not even a vampire could stop them at their peak. No silver stake or bullet would do, for they was off the deep end and tearing through.

Many a body mutilated and torn while mages ran like there magic was just born. They cried for help, begging to be freed but no one could hear them with the night full of greed.

One person however had barely escaped the melancholy future that was soon to take shape. She ran and ran her lungs felt like fire and her salty tears were sharper than wire.
Up a mountain and into a cave, where she spent all her time with the friend she had saved.

her legs gave out and buckled under, but she knew he had saw her blunder. His scaly arms secured her like a cage, and he felt the lock break to his underlying rage. “ who hurt you?!” he questioned and began to engaged  “i swear they'll regret the day they injured my mage.”
her eyes grew wide and she knew what that meant, they had felt those feelings from there time well spent.

Her breath was shaky as she struggled to stand , he saw this and lent her his hand.
“Help them please, their lives are being cut short, i know you may hate this...but your there last resort. ”

her desperation made his heart crack, he had to help them, he wanted her smile back.
He gave his own, his teeth shown sharp, while wiping her tears gently like a harp.

A string of sorrow and wailing to boot, he then knew what had began to take root. Her family and loved ones were in danger, he’d protect them even if they were strangers. “ stay here” he whispered while drawing her near “ i cant bare to lose you… as that much i fear”

feeling calm in his hug she shook her head and gave him a tug. Out the cave she dragged him, holding the hand attached to his limb. “ i won't leave you alone to fight in the night. The rain would fall harder and that isn't right”

With that he sighed and grabbed her hand, lifting her up he ran and ran. Upon arriving the air reeked of blood, and the main survivors were covered in mud.

he placed her down as she went to there aid, to heal them with her magic but some started to fade.
abruptly a growl was heard very clear and soon his battle would take place here.

He looked at his friend, with new love in his eyes, he hugged her so tightly, she had a fear in her rise. Not of him but of what was to come, he kissed her forehead and caressed her cheek with his thumb. “ it'll be alright, i'll protect you, i swear.” he was ready, he need not prepare.

With that he walked ahead, still in her site. He look back , ready for this fight.  then looked up and smiled bright, In this moment they both knew what was right. He was glad to have met her and was very grateful, and loved everyone, even those who were hateful. But no one would compare to her, his mage, and the memories he treasured were wrote down on his page.

With a deep breath and a calm sigh he looked away from the glassy sky, this new determined look in his eye.

There the other creature stood , being as intimidating as they possibly could. howling in madness and bareding their  teeth, it's like they thought they were greater than a coral reef.
This beast was strong like no other, with a look so sinister they could have killed their own mother.

Without much of a warning the battle began, both ready to cut down each others lifespan.

Water and mud flung into the air, the battle was intense, and to much to bare. The sound of bones cracking and twisting, all she could do was sit there, listening.
Time was slow as he laid the final blow.

His hand had shot through the beasts chest, laying him to an eternal rest. Pulling away, bloodied and beaten he looked down at the dead creatine.

He turned giving his mage a smile, but suddenly he fell, landing in the towns isle. Face contorting in sharp pain, he struggled to stay conscious, by focusing on the rain. To much blood he had lost, but he knew that this was the cost. He protected the one he held dear, and there she kneeled, drawing very near.

A tear ran down her face as she try to help, but all he did was let out a yelp.

He looked her in the eye and then she asked him “why? Why is it...you have to die?” he smiled while bringing his hand to her face “i'm sorry...but this is just the case”
he then gave her something, his hand shaking slowly, he now no longer felt so lonely. He opened his hand and then there was a shine , the crystal he held as he whispered “would you care...to be mine? ”

as sad as thing were, tears making him blur, she smiled. then She kissed him softly one last time, but just like that he was gone with the sound of a chime.
