The icy wind blew softly through the trees, bending them with an invisible force. Deep in the forest was an entrance to a small cave where within the cave sat an unknown Sans sitting on a log, poking at a small fire with a stick. He wore a grey shirt with white sleeves donned with black stripes down the middles, a brown sash went across the shirt. He wore black shoulder pads with a golden star on each pad and a golden rim, a rainbow bandanna which covered most of his face and a shield gently resting on the side of the log.
As the Sans tried to keep warm, he noticed movement toward the back of the cave. He lowered the stick and slowly reached for his shield. A massive creature quickly jumped on top of him. The Sans struggled to get the creature off of him, kicking the creature off of him toward the mouth of the cave. In panic and confusion, the creature came at Sans, nearly knocking the shield from him. Fighting against the hard winds of the blizzard, the coated Sans struggled to keep up with the creature, who had pushed himself away from the Sans. Hard, freezing snow limited his vision, he relied on his hearing to try and find his target. The creature made guttural growling sounds, allowing the Sans to easily locate it. The Sans jumped over frozen rivers, slid under fallen trees, barely able to keep up.
Eventually, he came into an open clearing. The creature, seeing its threat following it, made another growl before mysteriously going quiet. The sans looked around frantically trying to relocate the beast. Panic filled him as he turned around sharply to see the creature pinned by bones, dead.
"I see you've been busy, Fantasy," Gemini remarked to the Sans, his eyes focused on the dead beast for the time.
The Sans named, Fantasy scoffed at him, slowly walking toward him. "What is it you want?"
Gemini takes a defensive stance. "Oh come on. Can't I say hi to an old friend?"
Fantasy hesitated for a moment, his gaze stuck in a frown; suddenly, Fantasy lunged at Gemini. However, instead of attacking, he tackled him with a hug.
"Ahahahah! It hasn't been that long has it?"
"It has!" Fantasy responded in a cheerful and excited manner.
"So what have you been up to?" Gemini asked Fantasy, as the two of them stood and greeted each other once more.
"You know, chasing down dream eaters mostly, but you kinda beat me to this one." he points to the beast, now disintegrating into dust and into the blizzard. Fantasy took a moment to gaze at Needle, who had now caught his attention. "Who's this?"
"Heya. I'm Needle, A creator."
"Another creator? Interesting. So, why are you here Gemini? I'm assuming this isn't a friendly visit."
"No, it isn't. Unfortunately," replied Gemini.
"Is it about the stars?"
"Yes, actually. How did you know?" asked with a bit of a surprised tone.
"I looked up." Fantasy replied with a smirk. Gemini gave him a very cold look at his remark and Needle couldn't help but chuckle.
"We are going to try to go after whoever is destroying these worlds. Would you be willing to help us?" Gemini asked.
"What do I get out of it?" Fantasy asked.
"Ketchup."
"I'm in"
"Perfect" Gemini teleported them quickly back to his library.
The sudden teleport caused Needle to become nauseous as he was not used to using these "shortcuts" as the other Sanses. Fantasy and Gemini looked at Needle with a confused and concerned face.
"Are you alright Needle?" Fantasy asked with a cheeky smile, after realizing what was wrong. "Port Sickness?"
"I'm fine, I just need to-" Needle stops talking and puts his hands on his hips as he began to dry heave onto the ground before him.
Gemini rolled his eyes with an irritated sigh, "Honestly, Sanses should be able to teleport no problem."
"Sorry." Needle replies as he coughs to clear his throat. "I just haven't done it in a long time..."
"Let's get down to business. Come, sit." He opened his arm toward his desk. There were now three chairs for each of them with Gemini taking his spot at the "main" chair of his desk. "Now, what do we know about this 'destroyer' of ours?" Gemini asked the two of them followed his motions and sat around the desk.
"Well," Fantasy replied, "the worlds simply don't vanish. The stars don't disappear, they just stop glowing."
"Were you able to visit one of these worlds?" asked Needle.
"Yes, I was. It's very dead. No life. All the monsters were killed. The strange thing is, they weren't turned to dust. Their bodies were intact; there was no trace of their souls. It was...like something took it."
"Can you take us there?" Gemini asked with politeness.
Fantasy answered with hesitation. "Yes, I can, but you best prepare yourself for what you're about to see."
"Then let us depart" Gemini replied with an authoritative tone.
"Alright then. Prepare to enter a dead underswap. Fantasy says grimly"
