We waited for what seemed like hours but in reality, was probably only minutes when we saw Dad and Grace emerge from the surf and came walking toward us.

Mom gave Dad a hug and a courtesy kiss before turning to us and we stared at each other in  awkward silence until Mom said

"Well go on then! Practice with your new weapons! You'll need to get used to them if you expect to fight with them."

I looked at my sister who was looking back at me, and we both grinned because we had one thing in mind: Capture the Flag, our first time, which was starting in just a few minutes. We ran off and left our parents alone in the dust.

We stopped at the armory a three on some basic armor and our respected helmet color: Blue, but kept our personal weapons (since we haven't even really used them yet and are just itching to).

We met up with the rest of the gang: Bianca, Emily & Marie, and Sammy. When we were all on the same team working together, we were "that group" that everyone challenged. Of course, we're undefeated as a team. Most of the Greek campers think it a little unfair to soar against my sister and I tho, considering, we are the Jackson twins and we were lucky with the godly side of things cause we gained a lot of power from our parents tho, Grace does lack a little on the intelligence side of things (Don't tell her I told you that). But luckily, I inherited that or we would've be hopeless.

So we were assigned by the leader of the blue team to defend the flag. So of course, we put it by a river -where we would have the upper hand.

Bianca was our first line of defense but she stayed behind the river because she was also our healer.

Since Bianca's parents are the famous Nico Di Angelo, and Will Di Angelo, Bianca got some perks. She could heal people, but she can only do so much before she is put into a vulnerable weakened state. She can also summon the dead and shadow travel, though none of that weakens her one bit.

So she stands by us, while she raises dead people to fight oncoming red team people while she's safe and sound behind the river. When Bianca first showed up to capture the flag though, she had a blade I've never seen before. Sammy went ballistic as soon as he saw it, pestering her to let him have a closer look.
"Why Bianca?"

"Because I said so!"

"But I swear, something's different about that blade. I've never seen anything like it before!"

"Because it's Stygian Iron, Hot head!"

"I know what THAT is, but there's something else too. I just need to see it real quick."

Bianca took a big sigh, and handed Sammy her new blade who took it gingery and studied the blade.

For a few seconds, we all stood in awkward silence until Sammy facial expression changed from excitement to surprise, then back to excitement.

"You guys, I was right! This isn't a normal Stygian Iron blade! It's smelted with Adamantine!"

"What? That crazy! There's like only two weapons I know of in existence that's made with that stuff! It's supposed to be unbreakable."

"Well I don't know how," Sammy exclaimed. "But this blade definitely has Adamantine in it. You can see by the way it's shines in the light, see?"

Sammy puts the blade in the light to reveal the bits of shimmer within the dark blade.
"Woah" I said "Now that's cool."
