Hailey and the misfits

It was the summer of 78' in Brisbane, Australia. The suburb that's forgotten by many celebrities when they come for a visit or to share their talents. The Sun was shining brightly on all the fresh, young faces of six teenagers  who were running a muck in the city. They were known as , 'The Misfits'. The six friends had been friends since birth, as had their fathers . They all grew up on the same street and were born in the same hospital on the week of April, 1962.  The misfits consisted of Harry, Mitchell(Bitchell), Leah, Katie, Kara and Hailey. Their  afternoon would consist of  the teens were running wild in the city, shopping, dancing and racing towards the train that had come to a stop whilst holding and swinging  each other's hands. After they had  got on the train, Harry would let go of Kara's hand to run his hands through  his brown, curly hair that looked like a mop on his head. He would press play on the cassette player in his left hand.The dancing and singing would go on for hours until they were kicked off the train. Which coincidentally was their stop.

But this time it was different for Hailey, because she met him. Well she fell for him literally. She fell into his lap after the train came to a sudden stop. She stupidly thought that she was invincible and didn't hold on to the bars so as a result she fell into the lap of a gorgeous, brunette, green - eyed boy. However, this boy was not a complete stranger to Hailey even though they had never talked before. Unknown to Hailey, was that they had admired each other from a distance ever since they were thirteen .The first time they had 'met' was at a party the misfits attended when they were thirteen. Hailey thought that he was the prettiest boy she had ever seen and blushed when she noticed that he was watching her look at him. They had never interacted with each other because deep down Hailey feared that she would never be good enough for a model Christian boy.

Danny, 'the good christian boy' was  tall, with an strong,athletic build and he too  felt the same way about hailey except he thought that she would not be into him as it would be a kick in the face to society. The unspoken rules that teens had to obey were sex,drugs and alcohol. Occasionally, danny would go out drinking with friends and without a doubt he would surely be smoking weed with his loser friends leading a double life. He also was in a group similar to Hailey's except his group was known as ' The christian boys'. Ironic enough right?

HAILEY P.O.V

The first School semester  had just finished. The only thought that was running through my head was, when will my life truly begin?  The misfits and I  all went to private schools  but our schools were only across the road from each other. Leah,Katie,Kara and I all went to St Mary's College. Our uniforms were a plain ,white button- up shirt that the girls and I would tuck in to our medium length ,plaid skirts complemented with a dark blue blazer with the badges of our school symbol and a senior badge. Whereas the Boy's high school, St Marks or otherwise known as the ' budgies' because of the resemblance the uniform had to the bird. The uniform was similar to ours except the boys had bright,baby blue shirts tucked into black 3/4 shorts accompanied with a dark blue blazer  with long grey socks and black leather shoes. We did have hats in our uniform too but it was too bloody hot to wear our straw dark blue hats all of the time. Needless to say we only wore them in school. Once we were out of the prison gates we broke free from our roles as a student and would customise  our uniforms to our standards when we got to the city. As the misfits and I strolled out of the boy's school holding each other's hands while swinging our dark ,blue school  bags onto one side of our shoulders we  discussed our plans for the weekend, we were going to sneak into one of the nightclubs in the city. We shopped until the girls and I had the perfect outfits . After the girls and I finally found our outfits for Saturday night, we all headed for the train station hand in hand. As the train came to a stop we all hopped on still holding hands waiting for harry to put on a cassette tape for us to woo the 'crowd' on the train with our killer dance moves until we got kicked off the train. He just happened to put on, "you're the one that I want " by Olivia Newton John and John Travolta. As we were jiving and swinging our bodies in provocative ways Harry noticed the train coming to a stop and alerted us all to hang on to the rails. But I thought that I was invincible and kept dancing until I fell.................... into the lap of a gorgeous, athletic, green - eyed  christian school boy with an angelic voice. I turned to come face to face with the stranger.
