Not long after I found a moment of solace with Andy by my side, it was interrupted by a knock at door. I had a strong feeling of who it was behind the door. The door swung open and Reeva stood there asking for a moment to speak.

All my fears from before came rushing back to me. I slowly looked up to make eye contact, I couldn't make out what she is thinking with the neutral expression on her face. My silent exchange with her was broken when Andy squeezed my hands.

"Nothing will happen, I'm going to wait outside alright." He tried to give me some sort of reassurance but I knew he was just as nervous.

I tried to find reassurance in Andy's words as Reeva made her way over to me and the door closed. As she started to open my talk, I was brought back to the flashback of her using her powers.

I immediately closed my eyes and covered my ears. I then felt cold soft hands trying to pry my hands off my ears. I looked up to see Reeva with an almost disappointed look.

"I'm not going to harm you, Karen."

"I just want to talk about what happened today." She stated before taking a seat beside me on my bed.

"What you did back there surprised me." She spoke as she looked at me in the eye.

"I did not expect you to just stand up for someone you did not know, much less someone standing on the other side from our cause. It only reaffirms my impression of you, Karen."

"Your powers have increased exponentially ever since you are here and it's not by luck. Your powers come from desire to protect and I believe that that's one of the strongest source of strength, even more so than fear and anger. Not many people can often find that kind of resolution for themselves."

"However, I need you to know that being kind isn't enough. Being soft can make you weak. And we can't be weak if we are fighting for a cause bigger than ourselves." Reeva turned to me with serious look, as if she spoke from experience.

"I believe you will understand in due time. After all, you have not seen the real world yet." Her voice turned solemn for a change.

"I'm sorry I intervened." I spoke up for the first time since Reeva came in.

"No worries, you caused no harm." She gave a smile to reassure me of my worries.

"Your new powers, Sage updated me about them. It's amazing, you're evolving." She continued to give a smile.

"No uh, I managed to do this before but it only resurfaced again today." I looked down at my hands.

"I see potential in you Karen. I believe when you get older, you can possibly help to stand by my side to lead the Inner Circle." My eyes widened at Reeva said.

"Me-me? But I don't think I can do it-" The possibility of leading the Inner Circle? I could never prepare myself for that. It would be good enough for me to be a team player and do my best for the team.

"I believe women should be at the forefront of leadership and I believe you could be one of those women." Reeva looked off into the distance as she spoke. There was a bit of pause as she looked like she was think about something.

"Have a good rest, Karen. It's been a long day for everyone."
