“COME ON QUINTON STOP!" He rolled away, his eyes closed tightly a wide grin pulled the ends of his lips up, small dimbles apearing in his cheeks. He let out a loud chorus of laughter, shaking his head as Quinton's hands tickled as his stomach.
“Fine! Only if you say it!” his voice was bright hearted and filled with joy, his eyes never stopped fallowing the little boys’s face. “Come on Delany~” he whispered out teasingly, his hands hovering above his body, his smile bright, pearly white teeth flashing as his own childish dimples formed.
“OKAY! Okay I’ll say it! J-just stop tickling me” Delany laughed, quickly hugging his stomach to stop the others hands from getting to it “I.... like big butts” he giggled, covering his mouth and closing her eyes. Quinton shook his head, unsatisfied.
“Louder!” he ordered playfully, letting out a few giggles of his own. Delany looked up and laughed, nodding his head as a slight blush light up his cheeks.
“I like big butts!” he said a bit louder, covering his mouth as another burst of giggles erupted out of the two 5 year olds.
“Come on! Louder!” Quinton managed through a fit of laughter, rolling off Delany and onto his back, looking over at him with his own red, flushed cheeks
“I LIKE BIG BUTTS!” Delany finally screamed looking over at Quinton in silence before the two erupted in a fit of laughter, rolling onto their stomachs and both ending with a long sigh.
“Aha… Hey, Quinton?” Delany’s bi-coloured eyes looked over at him, finally meeting his yellow gaze with a small smile.
“Yea, Delany?” He resting his head on his arms that he’d crossed and laid in the grass. He never took his bright, yellow eyes away from his best friend’s own blue and brown gaze.
“We’ll be friends forever… right?” he tilted his head; his bright expression seemed to sadden. Quinton sat up almost immediately, his smile brightening, if that was possible. He held his arms out for a hug.
“Forever and ever!” he chimed, falling back with a loud ‘oof’ as Delany landed on top of him, holding him in a tight hug. He rested her head on his shoulder with a soft giggle, whispering something into his ear that made his face brighten to a colour that closely resembled a fresh, ripe tomato. “I… I love you to best friend”
“DELANY!” A voice suddenly called. Both pairs of eyes looked up at the house in front of them, Delany’s mother stood, smiling brightly at the two, waving her hand for Delany to come “Come on dear, it’s dinner”
“But Moooom!” Delany whined, sitting up he moved off Quinton with a frown.
“No ‘buts’ dear, come inside before your dinner gets cold, you have school tomorrow and you need to take a bath” his mother’s smile soon turned into a worried frown, her foot tapping against the floor impatiently. Delany frowned, nodded and soon enough smiled over at his companion.
“I’ll be out tomorrow Quinton, after school, okay?” His eyes shone in hope as the other nodded, wrapping his arms around him and placing a gentle kiss on his cheek.
“See ya tomorrow Dels!” he cried out after him, waving his hand with a bright smile as he watched him walk up the stairs and into the house. His yellow gaze soon landed on Delany’s mother, who’d turned to look over the lawn with a nervous frown. His normal, childish smile grew into a twisted smirk before his figure faded into a cloud of smoke.

After school, Delany had raced to the front entrance where he threw his arms around his mother with a bright hearted giggle “Mommy! Mommy! I had the best day today!” he cheered with glee, brown and blue eyes shining with happiness as his mother smiled softly.
“Oh?” she picked Delany up in her arms with soft grunt “and what happened today dear?”
“When I went outside to play, Quinton was there! And we played all recess together in the sand box, he helped me build the biggest sand castle ever mommy!” he giggled, holding his hands to his mouth with a bright, toothy smile
“Hmm... Is that so?” she chuckled “and who is this Quinton, is he new at the school?” She stepped out of the school, pushing the doors open with her back. Delany looked up at her mother in disbelief, his eyes wide and mouth in the shape of an extended ‘O’.
“…Quinton’s my best friend, I play with him every day after school… don’t you remember mommy, I was playing with him outside yesterday” he looked at his mom, raising a brow in confusion, he frowned and bit his lip.
“Honey..." his mother's voice was full of concern as they stepped towards her car "No one was out there with you"
