Type's aware that the freshies in the soccer team refers to Techno and he as the parental figures of the club. While sweet, pure-hearted Techno may be the captain, he's definitely not a disciplinarian. He fusses and worries over the younger ones like a mother hen would, backing them up whenever he thinks Type and Champ are being too hard on the kids. Techno doesn't have it in him to punish them when they're late for practice or if they skip a session without a valid reason, always letting them get away with just a warning which doesn't contain any heat to it.

That's where Type steps in.

He possesses the authority as co-captain, but unlike his best friend, Type doesn't have any qualms when it comes to teaching them a lesson; making them run laps around the field, instructing Can and Good to clean up the field whenever they get distracted or straight out giving the team a stern talking to when they don't show Techno the respect that he deserves. Type's the 'father' that whips them into shape, and Techno's the one that soothes the sting of his actions.

They're best friends and roommates, and the first time he made the other's acquaintance, had taken it upon himself to look out for Techno. Simply because he knows that his best friend's the type of person that people would take advantage of. He's far too kind and trusting with everyone, and while it's an admirable trait, it irks Type at times.

''You're too nice to the younger kids. That's why they don't take you seriously.'' Type nags good-naturedly as soon as Techno's done giving Ae a 'lecture' for missing last week's practice. It doesn't seem to be effective at all, because the kid walks away with a smile that's far too chipper for someone who's just been given a warning, and Type doesn't need to be a genius to know that his head is filled with the thought of the IC kid that he's seeing.

Techno accepts the bottle of water that Type hands to him, cap already twisted off, ''I don't see you complaining when I'm nice to you.''

''I'm your best friend. Of course you have to be nice to me.'' He crosses his arms against his chest, not noticing Techno eyeing the way his dry-fit shirt stretched tightly across his arms and shoulders.

''Well, you're too strict on them. Making them run laps just because they're two minutes late?''

Type shrugs his shoulders, ''You specifically told them last week to be on time. This is the thanks I get for helping you? I shouldn't bother the next time.''

It's a lie, because he steps in and gets involved each time it's Techno. He even does it when they're not at practice, and by now, most of their classmates know better than to take advantage of the male's kindness. Techno's the kind to do most of the project work which others will take the credit for, and Type makes it a point to be in his group so that his best friend doesn't end up being on the losing end.

The afternoon sun's glaring right at them and Techno huffs out a soft sound of annoyance under his breath. He reddens easily beneath the heat despite copious amount of sunscreen which Type always had to remind him to apply. It's definitely a source of discomfort for Techno, but Type thinks he's pretty like this, the pink fanning across his cheeks.

When Techno shields his face with the clipboard in his hand, Type pipes up, ''Go and stand under the shelter before you burn to a crisp. I'll watch them instead.''

''I thought you said you wouldn't bother?'' The other jokes, corners of his lips curving up into that particular smile that occupies Type's thoughts 70% of the time. ''It's fine. I'm the captain anyway-'' Type cuts him off by casually slinging an arm around the male's shoulders, his broad physique a clear contrast against the other's leaner one. Techno smells of sunscreen and freshly cut grass, along with a hint of vanilla and soft detergent from his newly-washed training jacket. ''Co-captain's orders. Go.''
