We arrived in Clapham Common, where the Calling Festival was taking place, a bit early. Gates were opening at one, it was now eleven.
At the festival there were a few non - famous bands, such as Heaven's Basement and Radkey. There was a small area at the venue, where a bigger but not big band were playing. Anyway, after that, on the main stage, there would be Thunder (a quite big band, I quite like their stuff), Richie Sambora (lead guitarist of Bon Jovi - my second favourite band) and Joe Bonamassa. Then, the headliner would be Aerosmith. I was pumped.
We went to a local supermarket and bought snacks, before going to Starbucks and getting a drink. We walked around for a bit, before heading back. We queued outside for a bit - we were at the front of the queue so when one hit, we raced in to hit the merch stand.
I bought two Aerosmith tops, an Aerosmith bandana and a Richie Sambora top. We then listened to the music, just waiting for Aerosmith.
It was mid afternoon when Thunder came on. Their music was actually really good and their lead singer was really cute (not looks wise, in personality.) They were really good at getting the crowd going and were really fun.
Next, Richie Sambora - wow!! Lay Your Hands On Me was great! But, his last song, Wanted Dead Or Alive was awesome!! I love that song. The atmosphere was amazing - I would never forget it.
The sets were longer and the breaks were longer. But then Joe Bonamassa came on. Usually I like his stuff, but today I couldn't concentrate on it. I was too pumped for Aerosmith!! Finally, the set was over and we had the long break to survive.
Amy went to the toilet to go to the loo and re - apply makeup and sort out hair etc, whilst I stayed to save our position at the front and to eat. Before long, she came back so I went to freshen up. I re applied all the makeup, brushed and flattened my hair, put perfume on and had a mint.
I don't know why I went to so much effort, but you never know what might happen. I straightened my outfit and walked back to Amy.
After a looonnggggg hour and half break, the lights on the stage turned out, and some cool coloured lights came on. Their intro came on as people were setting up on stage. Me and Amy were screaming in joy.
Just then, the Gods themselves came out. I was speechless. I was in love. Seeing Steven in real life was magical...he was just...perfect.
I was watching them intently, especially Steven. Amy's favourite was Joe, but she didn't really like any of them in the way I liked Steven. They kicked off with Mama Kin, then Eat The Rich. The guitar came on for Cryin' - my favourite song and I screamed so loud. Steven was scanning the crowd and saw me jumping for joy. He looked into my eyes and smiled, before winking. I could've died happily right then.
After I recovered me and Amy were messing around, playing the air guitar and singing along loudly and out of tune to it. I think we were starting to annoy the people around us..... .
In Walk This Way, Steven ran into the crowd to me and Amy. Everyone was touching his beautiful long, wavy hair. He whispered to me "come backstage after the show beautiful, you can bring your friend too."
I couldn't talk back to I just nodded. Steven went back on stage and I told Amy. We were screaming, jumping and celebrating together. I was in shock.
Steven was doing his dance to the song which me and Amy learnt together. We did the Walk This Way dance and Steven saw us and started laughing.
Next, they played I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing. At one point, Steven sang it to me. I couldn't believe it. I wanted to cry but I needed to seem strong so I fought back the tears. They finished the song, and played Love In An Elevator.
Me and Amy were again, dancing with each other and singing along. I was doing actions to some of the song as a joke and Amy would slap me and tell me to stop being rude (as a joke.) When I did the actions, I felt Steven staring at me, so I looked round and he quickly turned his head and looked away. I smirked to myself.
They finished the song, and played some more, before going off. About five minutes later they came back on, changed. They played Sweet Emotion and Dream On, introduced themselves to the crowd, then went off. Wow. Oh shit - time to go backstage.
Steven's POV
Wow. That girl in the front row was absolutely beautiful. I loved the whole rock chick look. She seemed fun as well in her dancing and singing and was being really sexy in Love In An Elevator. I couldn't help but stare.
I hope she does come backstage, I can't wait to meet her. Wow, what a show!
