Love is so short, forgetting is so long. - Pablo Neruda
Abby's Past
"Abby! Let's go shopping okay?" Asked Jessie,
"Yeah, sure!" I answer,
"Okay then after school I'll meet you at the staircase," she says,
"Okay see you then!" I reply as we walk to our classes,
End of the day
I walk to the stairs and wait for Jess to arrive but just two minutes later I feel someone push me from behind and I fall downstairs. I passed out of course when I reached the bottom but as soon as I did I see Blake standing right in front of me and at that second I knew that who pushed me downstairs was him.
The doctor said that I was put in a coma for a while so they can fix up my broken bones and bits. The doctor also said they had found the culprit of who had done this disaster of pushing me and he goes by the name Issac Winters. From that moment I got hesitant and kept saying "IT WAS BLAKE! IT WAS BLAKE ROBERTS! YOU'RE BLAMING THE WRONG PERSON!" but they put the anesthesia mask on me and I passed out. From that day I knew that I couldn't trust anyone but Jessie because she's the only believed me and no one else.
After that incident, everyone at school started and teased me for what happened and I didn't want to show my face ever again and it was Jessie who stood by me. I am grateful that I can trust her. After that I became homeschooled, it was easier for me to continue without hearing rumours about me going around. I knew I would never trust Blake ever again now look where I am. I am passed out in a place stuck with Issac Winters who is not only the innocent person from school but also the murderer of Blake's brother Jason Roberts and his girlfriend Cassandra Wright.
Back to the story
"Abby? Abby. Abby wake up!" I hear someone say. I wake up and see everything blurry. It was like I couldn't see anything without glasses. I wait a while to adjust my eyes and realize that I am tied to a chair and Blake was also tied sitting in front of me. I hated what I saw so I started to yell, "LET ME GO!" but no one was there to do that.
"Blake where, where are we?" I ask,
"You're locked up in a room with soundproof walls so no matter how much you yell, no one will hear you," answered Issac Winters,
"Why are we locked up? What did we do? Why did you kidnap and kill Jason and Cassandra? Does this have to do with when I got pushed down the stairs?" I ask,
"Woa, we got a big mouth with lots of questions here," he says,
"Abby don't ask him anything!" Yelled Blake, "He's guilty of doing many things and also he knows the truth about what happened in-" One of the guards come and slaps Blake in the face,
"HEY, DON'T HURT HIM!" I yelled,
"Shut up! You have nothing to yell about. Jessica was right, you are a softy." Issac continued.
"Jessica? Where is she? What have you done to her?" I asked angrily,
"Wow, goes to show you how clueless you are." He answered with his evil laugh,
"Is this because of high school? It is, isn't it? I know it's Blake! Blake was the guilty one! Is was him!" I yelled hesitantly,
"Abby what are you saying?!" Blake asked,
"Shut your mouth!" Issac yelled, "There's no purpose of you saying anything. I'm done here, let's go!" The two guards follow Issac out the door.
We waited a few minutes before talking again.
"Abby, do you have any idea what you said back there?" Blake asked upset,
"What? You know what I said was true," I answered,
"What, you think I pushed you? I would never do such a thing like that!" He yelled,
"Obviously it would be you. You hated me so much!" I said,
"I never hated you!" he yelled, "I..."
"You what? What about that time we were supposed to be going on a blind date?"
"What do you mean?"
"Exactly what I mean! You texted me and said that we should go out sometime. And when we both agreed on it, we chose a date and as soon as I arrived I see you and Jessie kissing." I yelled angrily,
"That's because Jessie just grabbed my collar and pulled herself towards her!" Blake explained,
"I don't believe you!"
"Abby I would never do that to you because-"
"Because what? because of the fact that you hate me right? You've always hated me!" I interrupted Blake,
"No Abby! I would never do that to you because I LOVE YOU!" Blake shouted. There was an extremely long silence after that.
"A-Abby, I, I love you, I've always liked you and I did want to date you, that is why I asked you out. I'm not lying that Jessica did pull me and kiss me. I know you already hate me. I know you want to believe what you think you know but I hope you will eventually believe me."
"I-I can't trust you yet," I answered,
"Love is so short, forgetting is so long. - Pablo Neruda" he replied, "You may not want to believe me or even talk, trust or...love me but at least we could work together to get out of here and see where it goes."
"Fine," I answered, "Let's see what happens now shall we?"
Blake giggled and said, "I've got a pocket knife we can use to escape this place. Let's get out of here shall we?"
We both giggle as we cut the ropes that had kept up tied to the chairs.
