Mikasa pov:
I followed eren up to the roof he had his hands in his pockets with hoodie up. He pulls out the chair and he sits on the ground. I sit on the chair we both then stared at the sky. He was quiet for a moment.

"Mikasa?"

"Yeah eren?"

"I just wanna start off by saying is I'm..sorry."

"Eren you don't have to apologize."

"Yes I do mikasa, I-I didn't mean what I said....it's just when my dad came back I just didn't know how to feel, I didn't know whether to feel happy, mad or angry all my emotions were just a mess." He said while bringing his left hand to his face and looked down.

"Eren."

"You know I actually laughed at something my father said."

"W-What did he say?"

"I... love you."

"What was....funny about...it?" I asked concernedly.

"It was funny because I knew....he didn't mean it."

"Eren."

"You know mikasa.....in this world.....it's easy to find someone to say I love you.....but it's really hard to find someone who....means it."

Before I could see anything I see a tear fall from eren hitting the concrete below him and then another.

"E-eren."

"I-I can't handle this pain in my chest mikasa, he's s-such a poor excuse of a f-father."

Eren brought his hand to the back of his head and tucked himself to prevent me from seeing him cry. I got up from the chair and bent down to remove his hands.

"Eren....look at me."

"I-I don't want to."

"Why not?"

"Because I don't want you to look in the eyes of a crying little brat."

"Eren....please." I pull down his hoodie.

I place my hands on his face and slowly raised it up.

"Eren it's okay..... I don't care if you're crying, you know sometimes it's okay to cry.....in order to smile at the end."

"M-mikasa."

"You're strong Eren I know you are you'll get through this." I tell him while I give him a assuring smile.

I then looked at eren more to which he had a dazed look on his face. His eyes still had that emptiness in them. I wiped the tears streaming down his face. I then proceeded to do something to make eren feel a bit more better. I hugged him placing his chin over my shoulder.
Eren pov:
"M-mikasa."

I felt warm it felt comforting having mikasa arms around me. I started raising my arms and I wanted to hug her back but I just couldn't for some reason.  She then got up and lent me her hand which I accepted.She pulled me up I then dusted the back of my pants. We started to walk back inside. But I felt a bit annoyed as if I wanted that hug to last a little longer. But I just ignored it but before we went downstairs I needed to say something.

"Hey mikasa."

"Yeah eren?"

"I just wanted to say thank you...for trying to make me feel a bit better." I then did something I haven't done in awhile.
Mikasa pov:
When eren thanked me my eyes widened a bit as I saw him give a small gentle smile. It made me happy knowing I made eren feel a bit better.
