"Neil take care of Avni. I spoke to her earlier but she was not responding clearly to Me." umpteenth time neelamaa was informing Neil about avni's moody behavior during her early interactions with her.

"Aree...neelamaa don't worry. I will be there in few minutes and I will take care of her" saying so Neil pulled the car into the driveway and parked the car in front of the government quarters. Neil has shifted to Delhi shortly few months before along with Avni due to the promotion as DCP.

As Neil parked the car he got out with the umbrella due the heavy out pour in the city.

"Avni ate the food" he asked madhvi tai as he entered the mansion. She always leaves exactly when Neil returns. She stays there full day to take care of Avni.

"nahi sirji. Avni madam is in balcony. I said many times that its goanna rain and please come in and sit but she didn't listen to me. Now it's raining heavily and madam has ordered me not to interrupt. Thus I was waiting for u sir ji." She reciprocated in the tone of concern and the furrow brows adorned his forehead in concern. He rushed to the balcony area after closing the door as madhvi Tai left.

There his legs halted as he saw Avni sitting on the floor bundling herself into a cocoon hugging her legs close to her chest drown into a deep pool of thoughts completely unaware of Neil's presence. He closed his eyes in disappointment as soon as he saw her sad and absence minded face. The rain water was dipping her body and her face has flushed pink in the attempt to produce heat on this chill situation but wasn't able to do that successfully. Her eyes were red indicating the effect of her sleepless nights while her hands have become flush white. Her Head above her knees placed over there as a support while here chins were pressing her knee ball. She was facing away from the entrance but any normal person could sense the person standing. But Avni was far from the normal mentality. His legs gave a shudder as it came in contact with the cold water that is being flushed over him drenching him in all means as he stepped close to Avni.

Slowly he knelt down and sat besides her wrapping his one hands around her shoulders in a mean of side hugging her while she raised her chin to look at the new visitor over her private space. Her eyes immediately pooled as she saw this new companion and in no minutes she throws herself in his arms hugging his life out. Hands encircled over his neck and cheeks pressed on his chest her eyes were closed hiding the pain.

"Avni... what is this. Can't u see how heavily it's raining? Why are u sitting here. U didn't listen to madhvi Tai also. She is here to help u. to take care of u. but now u have become too stubborn to listen to anyone haan" Neil asked in a concerned tone with low voice completely shattered seeing her in such a vulnerable state.

"I can't take this anymore Neil. I can't. Sab mere vaja sae hua" she shuddered again while his grip around her waist tightened.

"Shhhhhh........now not a word more. What happened was an accident. Its none's fault. Do u understand." Neil said in a stern tone not appreciating her complaints. She gave a faint nod but Neil knows that she is still not over it.

"Come on Avni. Get in. u might catch cold." Neil thought to divert the topic. He got up and grabbed her arms to lift her up which she did with a bit difficulty.

"Are u in pain" he asked in a concern tone sensing her uncomfortable in getting up.

"Err.....naah....bit tired" she managed. His eyes looked back at the place where they were sitting few minutes before and her eyes followed his directions. The thick blood was draining away in the outpour of rain and Neil exactly understood why she is upset. He held her hands engulfing her shoulders in a hug preventing the further view of balcony for her and took her to his room.

He directed her to the bathroom. She followed his instructions silently.

"U stay I will bring things needed for u" Neil informed as he headed towards the cupboard. He took out her night dress and necessary things along with the tampon. He handed over the things to Avni and she accepted it immediately.

"Don't lock inside Avni. I am locking it outside. Knock when u are done" he guided as he was afraid that she might fall off inside. After all this is her first period after her miscarriage.

Avni nodded silently and went in and Neil locked the door simultaneously. Sensing that she might take time to come out he went to the guest room to change and then rushed to kitchen to make something for her.

Neil arranged the things on the food tray while he heard a faint knock on the bathroom door. He smiled as he opened the door which Avni didn't reciprocate.

"Acha..... Avni how is Ur mood swings going. Mera sar phodne ko kehe rahi hai kya" Neil asked in an attempt of cracking a joke while Avni face was void of emotions.

He dragged her by grabbing her hands while she was easily letting him pull her.

"Kya hua" he asked as he pressed her to sit on the bed. She nodded her head left and right suppressing the mourn that may leave her lips exposing her silent cries.

He immediately took her into embrace as both were leaning against the headboard.

"Exactly a month before we lost our baby Neil. I failed to protect him." She said in a cranky tone as her lips were pressed on his neck.

"Avni. God loves our baby more I guess. That's why he took him away from us. But u are not doing justice to our baby. How will he feel when he knows that his mother cries whenever she remembers him? Will he feel good? Avni he is our first child. He was the one who gave us the feel of how it would be like experiencing the parenthood. That how will it be like knowing that we are goanna give birth to a life. He always gave us good memories and moments to cherish. Then how would our baby feel when he knows that his mom only gets sadden as she relishes the moment. I know it's hard for u to accept but yes we have lost him. It's not Ur mistake neither his. It's what meant to happen and we are none to blame. But from now on u should only smile when u remember our lost baby. No more tears, but only wide warm smile to be reserved for my baby. Okay" he said kissing her forehead while she hugged him tight.

"U are right Neil. He is my first baby and he will always remain" Avni smiled in tears.

"Achaa...... how about hot chocolates" Neil smiled while her eyes immediately went in search of it. He exactly knew what she wants now. Periods are always painful for her.

He immediately gave her the cup while she started to attack the mug in happiness. The genuine happiness which only he could give her.

As they say naa....together in all sorrows and pains along with happiness......that is them for sure.

I Fell in love with u when u were in my womb. now I carry u in my heart not being able to hold u in my arms. -unknown

Many times I have thought of writing this. But I wrote and deleted. I never got satisfied with what I wrote I guess.

But now with full guts I wrote it. And published it also.
