Chapter 7: The Burrow

After a little more chatting with the trio and Dad, I sent a patronus to Nate and Vikkie (Viktor's nickname because he's an over dramatic teenage girl) telling them where I would be and that I was alright. I then apparated to the front door of the Burrow. Apparently I was the first to arrive because no one but Molly was home.

When I knocked on the door, Molly came and opened it. She looked at me for a moment before asking very sweetly.
"Hello dear how can I help you?"

I smiled at her
"Hi Mum. I'm home."

She put her hands over her mouth for a moment before smothering me in her motherly love. When she finished, she smacked me upside the head.
"You left! I know why you did and I'm glad you're happy now but you couldn't visit? I missed you terribly Ally. You must tell me everything."

I stopped her rambling when I grabbed her shoulders and said
"Mum, I'm sorry I haven't visited in a long time. I wish I had. I just couldn't come because of what Fred did. And then, when I forgave him a few years back. I wasn't sure any of you wanted me back because I hadn't done anything but write. Charlie tried to convince me otherwise but I didn't want to intrude on anything."

She looked at me like I was stupid for a moment and then hugged me tight.
"Alls, we always want you around. You're our daughter, by blood or not. So please come visit more."

"Alright." I said softly

She seemed to realize that we were still in the doorway because she ushered me into the living room and sat me down in a chair. Telling me she would be right back. Then, she walked into the kitchen to go bake something I presume.

I heard the door to the Burrow open and saw Dad peak his head in. He saw me and smiled. Turning back around, I believe he was telling the kids that there was someone in the living room that was here for a surprise visit. It was fairly obvious that Dad had gathered all the Wesley children and Harry and Hermione to come home during my visit.

When he finally let them in, they all looked confused, except for the trio, who knew I was here.
When they saw me, they all stopped dead. Charlie smiled at me and greeted me with a
"Hey Ally" before sitting on me. He's a brat that one.

"Ow! Get your fat arse off me dragon boy!"
I shouted

Mum yelled at me front the kitchen "Allison! Language!"

"Sorry Mum!"

Charlie just rolled his eyes and got up. I stood and faced my family. Ginny ran at me in a flash and tackled me in a hug. She started crying into my shirt, saying things like "you're here. You're really here." and "I missed you so much sis."

I hugged her to my chest and smiled into her hair.
"I'm here my little chaser. I'm here." She pulled away but kept her arm around my waist, leaning against me.

Then Percy came over. He hugged me. "I missed you Ally."
I smiled
"I missed you too Perce." He pulled away and smiled at me. I got an idea. Smirking, I asked him,

"So, how's the girlfriend? I hear she's quite the catch now."

He blushed deep red and started stuttering. Mum, who had walked in and heard what I said, let out a shocked breath.
"PERCY WEASLEY! YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND AND YOU DIDNT TELL ME!"

He looked scared for a moment. He tried to regain his composure but I beat him to the answer.
"Yes Mum, he does. Has for a year or two. Her name is Penelope Clearwater. She's beautiful, smart and very kind. They're quite adorable actually."

Mum seemed to calm down at that. But still was a little frustrated.
Percy took a deep breath.
"Mum, I'm planning on proposing soon."
I gasped.
"Awww my brother is finally growing up!"
He scoffed.
"Shouldn't I be saying that about you? You ARE younger than me."

I rolled my eyes at him. Bill took the moment of silence to come and give me a bear hug. Picking me up and spinning me in a circle. I squealed, not expecting it. When he let me down, I gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"I missed you too Wolfie (it's not because of his bite from Greyback. That doesn't happen till book 6. It's an inside joke where Bill used to sleep with a stuffed wolf and wouldn't let anyone touch it or he would scream bloody murder. Ally like to tease him about it.)

He groaned at the old nickname.
"C'mon Ally. I told you to stop using that in your letters!"

"And do I listen to you often? Nope!"

Fred and George are the only ones who haven't moved yet. They both look quite nervous.
George started first,
"Allison we're sorry for everything that happened we-" I cut him off with a raise of my hand and a smile on my face.
"George, you never did anything to me. I was never mad at you. Fred hurt me, not you, and I forgave him a few years ago."

Fred's head snapped up.
"Really? You did?"

I nodded, smiling.
"Yes, I did brother dear. If the incident hadn't happened, I wouldn't have ever gone to Durmstrang. My life would be completely different."
He smiled at me
"Also, Angie made me forgive you at some point cause she fancied you and said she couldn't have one of her best friends hating the boy she fancied. So thank her. Or better yet, ask her out."

Fred blushed a deep red. I guess he does still fancy her. I turned back to my family,
"Also for those of you who know my last name, don't say it until I say it's okay. Cornelius wants to keep my parents identity's a secret to keep me safe."

Charlie sputtered out a reply in disbelief.
"Cornelius Fudge?! The Minister?!"

I chuckled at him, also seeing my family's reactions be about the same.
"Yes, Dragon boy, Cornelius Fudge. He's a good friend of mine. I've gotten him out of some shitty situations in the Ministry before. Him and Barty are kind of like my mentors."

Mum didn't even bat an eyelash at my language this time. She just gaped along with everyone else.
Percy decided to speak up.
"So you're the one Fudge won't stop talking about! He speaks so highly of you!"

I smiled, "Same to you Perce. He won't shut up about you."

I sighed, my family still looked shocked.
"Yes, I know Cornelius Fudge but in all honesty, he has a tendency to be a bigger part than Percy so it's not really a big deal."

That snapped everyone out of their shock. They all laughed at Percy as he objected to being a prat.

Merlin, I missed my family.
