Talking is always positive. That's why I talk too much.

I was itching to tell someone. I know I said that I have the LBS (Lizzie Broadcasting System, A.K.A my big mouth) under control, but I just can't keep a secret as big as this one. I had to tell someone that I was getting married (Without a wedding, or a reception, and a secret honeymoon, but still. Lizzie Nichols is getting hitched!).
These were my thoughts as I sat in(and was being squished between the door and Shari) the tiny car that we were riding in to get to my friend (and employee) Tiffany's wedding reception at Tavern on the Green. Chaz had simply applied for a marriage license during Tiffany's wedding. We both decided to skip the wedding stuff, because, in Chaz's words, weddings made him want to hide under a rock and vomit his stomach up. We both promised to keep this from everyone we knew (The marriage thing, not his fear of weddings) until we feel like it.But my mouth already wants everyone to know.
"Something's on your mind," Shari said, shifting uncomfortably in her seat in the clown car we were cruising in. We were uncomfortably close to each other, and we've been friends for what feels like forever.
"I'm fine! I'm super peachy!" Oh God, did I just say peachy?
"Are you sure?" Shari cocked her head.
"Of course!" I assured her, with a smile that I felt was too assuring. "What would make you think something's wrong with me?"
"Lizzie, you just said peachy, and you're smiling like you're high."
"Sorry, weddings just make me so happy!" It is scary how fast I came up with that lie.
"You weren't this happy back at the shop," Shari said, with a look in her eyes that I think was intended to make me cave. I was still solid though. At least I thought I was.
I shrugged. "You don't actually feel the thrill until you see it through your eyes and experience it."
"Ok then."
She thinks I'm high. Or crazy.

"Hey, Cutie," Chaz said to me as he took my hand and helped me out the tiny car and onto my feet. I couldn't feel my legs as I took my first (shaky) steps out of the pea pod I took to get here into the Crisp New York Winter air.
I gave him a quick peck on the cheek, which he knows is my way of saying 'Hi honey'. He returned the kiss, except on my lips.
"You two are revolting," Tiffany said disgustedly as she trudged past us, her baby in her tummy clearly weighing her down. She looks odd standing there, her belly sticking out prominently from her tiny frame. She was a part time model before she got knocked up by her then boyfriend, now husband, Raoul. "Now get inside before we all turn into a colony of snow people!"
Chaz chuckled. "She's pleasant."
I gave him a sarcastic look. "She's pregnant. She can't model, or have sex, or find clothes that she likes and can actually fit into. It's hard for her."
" I don't even want to imagine having to go nine months without you. Heck, I don't even know how I go through the days and stay sane until I can get your clothes off." This comment made me blush. And then Chaz smiled.
