Chapter one

Sandies pov

Today is the anniversary of my mother's death. I drive past the haunting sign that says 'welcome to Emmerdale' the memories haunting me as I think of the last time I was in Emmerdale (1989) I pull my car up outside, a shop called Davids, hoping that the would sell flowers for my mother's grave.

Inside the shop I buy a bouquet of roses my mum's favourite.

The man at the till asked "Are they for anybody special?" I smile politely.

"There for my mum." I missed out the fact she was dead because I know he was only trying to be nice.

I walk to the cemetery hoping that the fresh air would do me good. As I walk over a bridge I bump into a dark haired runner with a brown beard.

"Oh....I didn't see you." He said helping me rebalance and then he continued on with his run.

Finally I made it to the cemetery. As I walk over to my mother's grave I spot a tall, blond haired man. When I get closer I see that he looks a lot like my mum. Then it hits me. He must be my younger brother Robert.

"Robert......" I practically whispered but he slowly turned around. By now I could see be a year dripping down his cheek. He instinctively wiped his cheek.

"I'm sorry, do I know you?" He asks.

"Yes......... although you probably don't remember me.........I'm your big sister Sandie."

Roberts Pov

"I wish I could have known you mum." I say, talking to the headstone. Most of my life I had always thought of Sarah as my mum, but I knew she wasn't deep down. I continue to tell her about Rebecca wanting to take Seb to Newcastle, and how Alex had proposed to Aaron and that Aaron had said YES!

I suddenly a small whisper "Robert........" I slowly turned around to see a roughly 50 year old woman with brown hair looking at me.

I quickly wiped my check remembering I had been crying. "I'm sorry, do I know you?" I ask wondering why she was randomly talking to me.

"Yes......... although you probably don't remember me.........I'm your big sister Sandie."

  I was shocked "I think you need to explain." I said "Why don't we go to the pub and you can buy Mme a pint."

**At the woolpack**

When we walk into the woolpack I spot Aaron and Alex sitting in the corner booth. Aaron must have caught me staring and others me a kind smile.

I was interupted from my thought by Chas Dingle "mmmhh, it's you," she sniped, with no sign that we were ever friends, let alone inlaws.

Before I could answer Sandie had already replied "You have terrible customer service," she said sarcastically, with a smug smirk. "I'll have a larger and Robert will have a pint." She handed over the money and her larger and I took my pint and we went over to the far away booth so that nobody could ease drop.

"You have a lot of explaining to do."

At the moment Aaron and Robert are currently not together, but will find their way back to each other.
