Nialls POV:

I was walking down the streets of Birmingham. The sun was setting and I was out for a stroll to calm myself for once. I had my hood pulled over my head and put on a pair of shades so no one would recognize me. Not that I didn't like having fans crowding me, but sometimes it was nice to get away from it all. I gave a small smirk enjoying the silence, no Harry's anywhere in sight. I gave a soft chuckle at the thought. I looked up and the sun was almost gone over the horizon of towers, I thought of going into a small cafe that i could see a little ways ahead of me. The dark red sign lit up and I knew it was exactly what I needed. I walked inside and it was a small, quaint, place. There was only one other person in the cafe and she was sitting in the corner huddled in a book. I walked up to the counter and was greeted by an older lady who wore a warm smile and greeted me,

"Hello hun, what can I get you?"

"Ughhh cappuccino..." I answered in a quiet muffled voice.

"Alright I'll bring it over to your seat." She said.

I put the money on the counter and went and sat down on the opposite side the girl was sitting on and put down my head on the table. I let out a sigh and yawned looking back up around the shop. The lights were dim and it seemed like more of a night place, for quiet people. It didn't seem to be popular but kept running from its daily customers. I heard the footsteps of the woman walking towards me and she placed down my drink.

"Thankyou." I said in a courteous voice.

"If you need anything, just holler." She smiled.

I gave a faint smile up at her and wrapped my hands around the mug. I could feel the warmth of the liquid through it and the feeling ran up to my arms. It felt great. I brought it up to my lips and sipped the hot drink and I could taste the different flavored in it. It tasted amazing and the caffeine made my eyes open wider. It gave my body a few more hours of energy before I would be ready to crash in bed. I ran my hand through my hair and sat it on top of my head, staring at the cup. The steam rising from the top of it. I felt my pants start buzzing and I reached inside my pocket and pulled out my phone. The front was lit up reading 'one new message' I opened it up and it was from Harry.

"Where are you?" It read out. I typed back quickly, "went out for a walk, I'll be back later ;)" I never hesitated to flirt with Harry. Thinking about him that way made my stomach flutter. I knew he was straight... and he would never like me like I like him. I shook my head. I always hid my feelings from all of them, I loved them all so much, especially Harry. But I would never have the guys to tell them, the outcome would scare me. What if they rejected me? What if they hurt me? I was just scared of how my feelings would affect others so I just pretended to be straight. Even though I flirted with them sometimes, they never thought anything of it. They thought it was more of a joke then me being serious. Which I can understand cause I fool around so much, pretending to be happy all the time, even when I was miserable thinking about the people I love. I finished my drink and stood up from my seat. I threw the cup out and waved to the lady behind the counter as I was walking out.

"Have a nice night hun." She yelled out to me.

Once I was out on the streets I looked up at the night sky. The stars were out and I didn't realize I was in there for so long. The streets were dead now and it was beautiful silence. I pulled my hood off and took off my glasses now that no one was around. I didn't have to hide from anyone anymore and I loved the wind rush through my hair. I was heading back to the hotel we were staying in and it would be a good twenty minutes till I got there. My hands started to feel chilled so I placed them into my pockets and tucked my head down close to my shoulders. As I was walking I looked upat the stars and it reminded me of Harrys eyes whenever he gave me one of his mischievous smiles. I smirked towards the ground at the thought of him. Time flew with my thoughts and I realized I was only two blocks away from the hotel, walking down some dark back street. Some of the houses that bordered the street had there lights on giving me some view of where I was going. But it was dead silent on the street. The only sound I could hear was my breathing and each step I took on the stone pathway. I bit my bottom lip as i walked closer and closer to the end of the street. When I was about to exit off of it I heard a faint rattle from behind me. I spun around, but nothing was there. The noise came again, but this time it was louder. I couldn't see what it was because the sound was hiding in the shadows of a small side alley. I decided to check it out and cautiously stepped closer to it. All I could see when I got to the source of the sound was a few trashcans lined up next to each other.

"H-Hello?" I called out in almost a whisper.

No reply came my way, in fact, it turned dead silent. I leaned around the trashcans keeping my distance of whatever was there and to my surprise it wasn't anything threatening at all. I saw a small dog, who had black fur with brown paws and a brown and white face. He had his face hidden in his paws but gave me quick glances before he hid again. His back was to the wall and his whole body was shaking, obviously scared of me. His stomach was bare and he was way to skinny for a dog. I kneeled down and looked at him, reaching my hand out to touch his back. He tried pushing himself further into the wall and his breathing got heavier.

"It's okay boy... I'm not going to hurt you." I whispered in a soothing voice.

The dog was still scared and I didn't blame him for it. My hand finally made contact with his back and i gently rubbed him back and forth. He stopped shaking but his eyes were still clenched shut. I sighed and I felt so sorry for this dog, knowing he must have been through so much. I decided right then and there I would take care of him. I scooped the dog up in my arms and cradled him. He opened his eyes and looked at me, I store right back into his chocolate brown orbs and gave a faint smile. I covered him up best I could so no one would notice him when I got into the hotel, and to keep him warm best I could. I started to speed walk to the hotel now to get him to the comforts of a place to stay, which I'm sure he's longed for, for so long now. I wondered how the guys would react to the dog. I knew they probably wouldn't be thrilled at first but they'd just have to warm up to him, because he's mine now. I looked back down at the dog who was still staring at me,

"I'll take care of you... I promise." I whispered to him.

He nuzzled his head against my chest like he finally understood what I was saying and I smiled. The hotel was finally in sight and I put my head down, not wanting to get recognized before I got inside.

When we got up to our room I slowly entered shutting the door behind us quietly. None of the lights were on so I assumed everyone was asleep.

"Perfect." I whispered.

I placed the dog down and opened up the fridge, searching for something he could possibly eat. We really didn't have anything though, except for fish. Which would have to do I guess, I don't know if he'll like it though. I placed it in the microwave and let it heat up for a minute or so. Once it finished I placed it on a plate and walked over to him with it. He came over to my feet and was drooling all over my socks. I placed it down on the ground for him and he sniffed at it first. Then he licked it slowly, nudged it with his snout, then sniffed it some more. Right when I thought he wasn't going to eat it and just examine it instead, he inhaled the whole thing through his mouth. I laughed at his eating habits, not that I expected much from a dog, but he ate like a pig. I got a bowl of water for him from the sink and placed it down next to the now empty plate, he wasted no time and starterd lapping it up. After a few minutes of drinking the water he finally was satisfied and pulled his head away and looked up at me. Still licking the air as if he was still drinking the water. I picked him up with both my hands and brought him up close to my face. I touched noses with him and we both smiled at the new friendship we had created. I inhaled through my noise and remembered something. This dog needed a bath, bad. But not right now, I was way to exhausted to do anything right now and right as I was about to head off to bed with him the light flipped on, and me and the dog both looked towards the corner where a loud gasp came from and a tall figure stood. A tall, and very shocked figure.
