      "I think you know him
But you just don't know that he's
          right in front of you."

"Alright we've got the veggie burger with fries, the club sandwich, a strawberry milkshake and two vanilla milkshakes, is that all?"

Briella thanked the waiter as he laid down the meals, speeding away with his roller skates on the polished checker-tiled floor. Luke eyed the food hungrily before quickly digging into his sandwich, eating as if he were a baby having it's first solid meal.

Andrea and Luke sat opposite Briella, it was a Sunday and the bunch were having lunch after they finished running over the ideas for one of their dumb AP Biology projects. They decided to try this new random diner, and so far it wasn't all that bad. 80's music blasted through the speakers, bold and brilliant colours littered everywhere as they covered the walls and interior designs.

Sipping her milkshake quietly, Briella watched as Luke finished up half his sandwich, mustard visible at the corner of his lip. She held back a laugh, evidently failing since Andrea noticed. She shook her head at Briella with a smile before turning over to face Luke. "You got a little something there,"

Luke immediately dropped his food and looked over at Andrea, embarrassment obvious on his features, "where?"

"Hold on..." Andrea picked up a napkin from the table, "...right there." She lifted it up to Luke's lips, wiping clear of the condiment.

He stared at Andrea the whole time, his body tensing slightly at her touch, she didn't really notice. That is, until she glanced up to find his eyes focused solemnly on her. Andrea felt her heart quicken slightly as his bright blue eyes bore into her brown ones, not really knowing what to do at the moment. She quickly looked away, facing her half-eaten veggie burger instead as a pink tint crept its way up to her cheeks.

Briella rolled her eyes at the pair in front of her. The sexual tension between them was unreal. It was always so clear that they were interested in one another, yet both of them were completely oblivious to each other's feelings.

And in all honesty Briella was getting pretty sick of having to listen to her best friends rant to her individually about how much they liked the other person. She'd always end up giving them the same advice; to go for it and tell them how they felt.

I mean, how blind can one be? Briella thought to herself. Surely, it wouldn't be that hard to realise someone likes you, right?

Briella watched as Luke secretly scooped up a wad of whipped cream from his milkshake with his finger, a plan forming in his head to rid of the awkwardness flying about.

A shriek left Andrea's lips as soon as she felt the cold, wet substance glide against her cheek. Her mouth fell ajar and she slowly reached up to find out what had touched her face. "Luke!"

Andrea then went on to quickly swipe the cream off of her face, instead wiping it all over Luke's. Briella's grip on her own drink tightened as she watched the pair in front of her have a mini food war with only Luke's milkshake.

This always happened. She always felt like the third wheeler. They'd do something cute and she'd just sit there and watch. That is, until Calum joined their little group, but he wasn't really here right now to help with that.

So maybe that's exactly what drove Briella to whip out her phone from her pocket and dial in his number. On the first ring he picked up, as he usually did with her. "Brie?"

"Hi..."

"What's wrong?" He sounded somewhat worried and Briella wasn't exactly sure as to why. "Nothing at all! Just missed you,"
